The Stagefright Bug 2.0 vulnerability can be triggered (attack vectors) by:

2)Man-in-the-middle attack
3)Third-party media player
4)Instant messaging apps

Google has already shared vulnerability report and patches with OEM Partners on Sept. 10. So you might be receiving patches soon from your Android device manufacturer.

Zimperium reported the flaws to Google on Aug. 15. The firm also plans to release technical details and proof-of-concept exploit code once a fix is released.

The Pirate Bay Founders Free Of Criminal Copyright Case.

The four co-founders of The Pirate Bay, the world’s most pop**ar torrent website, have been cleared of charges alleging criminal copyright infringement and abuse of electronic communications in a Belgian court.

The Pirate Bay co-founders Gottfrid Svartholm, Fredrik Neij, Peter Sunde and Carl Lundström were acquitted by a Belgian court located in Mechelse after it was found that they could not be held responsible for the file-sharing website after selling it in 2006.

The Pirate Bay’s founders Gottfrid Svartholm and Fredrik Neij, the website representative Peter Sunde and the website investor Carl Lundström were facing criminal charges related to their involvement with the torrenting site that has proven to be an elusive hub for illegal copyrighted content.

THE PIRATES BAY WAS SOLD TO OTHER INVESTORS IN 2006

However, the case fell apart when the Pirate Bay’s co-founders said that they were not involved in any activity related to the website after they sold it to Reservella, a Seychelles-based company, in 2006, as reported on Friday.

Providing more details about the case Torrent Freak report, "All four defendants deny having had anything to do with the site since it reported the sale to a Seychelles-based company called Reservella in 2006. That has proven problematic since the period in which the four allegedly committed the crimes details in the Belgian case spans September 2011 and November 2013."

Though the foursome is likely to face criminal charges in other courts of law, the Belgian court victory represented a little of good news for the cyber crew.

PROSECUTION AGREED TO COURT DECISION

After the verdict was dropped, the complainants, which is the Belgian Entertainment Association, agreed with the court decision. "Technically speaking, we agree with the court," said Olivier Maeterlinck, the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA) director.

This isn’t the first good news came from The Pirate Bay case. Last month, the third founder Fredrik Neij was released from a Swedish prison after he was detained on the Laos-Thailand border in November 2014 and spending ten months in jail.

The Pirate Bay, founded in 2003, is one of the most pop**ar file-sharing websites in the world predominantly used to share copyrighted material free of charge. Despite the criminal convictions, the site remains functioning today, although it has moved to different Web domains several times.

It's still unclear how the website managed to reappear every time after shutdown, but The Pirate Bay claimed last year that it ran the notorious website on 21 "raid-proof" virtual machines, which means if the police raid one location, the site would hardly take few hours to get back in action.

OUCH.. Missile System Hacked :/

Now this is a shockingly dangerous threat when hackers are taking over weapons and missiles.
This time I am not talking about weapon systems being hackable, but being HACKED!
A German Patriot anti-aircraft missile system stationed on Turkish-Syrian border was reportedly hacked and taken over by an unknown "foreign source" who successfully executed "unexplained commands."

TWO ATTACK VECTORS

Attacks on the Patriot missiles system were detected when "unexplained" orders were given to the weapons via two supposed weak spots.

German trade publication Behörden Spiegel reports that the American-made missile system was accessed either through a Computer Chip that directs weapons guidance or through a Real-Time information exchange that provides communication between arms and commands.

The publication speculates that the hackers may have stolen sensitive information and accessed missile control that could result in a missile firing at an unintended target.

However, a spokesman for the German Federal Ministry of Defense denied the missile battery hijack report and said it lacked evidence, calling it 'extremely unlikely.'

US BACKDOORED WEAPONS TO STEAL NATION'S SECRETS

Annie Machon, a former MI5 agent and whistleblower, told RT that the highly secure US weapons could contain backdoors. Also, Edward Snowden leaks confirmed that the US government conducts nation states cyber-espionage to steal sensitive nation’s secrets.

In June, Germany decided to spend USD4.5 Billion to replace its Patriot missiles with the Medium Extended Air Defense System used by the US and Italy.

The move will give businesses more precise information about those Facebook users who are actively following their page and make better use of Facebook’s Custom Audiences tool, which lets businesses create followers — aka lookalike audiences — by finding people on Facebook who are similar to those who already follow the company’s page.

The company also wants to make business results consistent with individual users’ experiences. Facebook already filters out "likes and comments generated by deactivated or memorialized accounts from individual Page posts."

While, the decrease in number of followers may disappoint you at the very first time, but at the same time it will help you gain a more accurate way to track your customers and grow your followers with authentic number of likes, which will be more beneficial to your business.

"Everyone benefits from meaningful information on Facebook. It’s our hope that this update makes Pages even more valuable for businesses," Facebook said.

FACEBOOK DRONES MAY PROVIDE INTERNET ACCESS TO THE WORLD FROM 2015.

Robots and drones have definitely marked the technological advancement of the coming era. Recently the world has witnessed the release of many new robots, humanoids and drones. After the spectacular release of Google’s project loon , we have a new drone set to bamboozle the world with its wonders. The Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has announced the release of this drone under the project of Internet.org. This facebook drone is all set to introduce it with its last and final test and release being covered up in the year 2015. Mark has tried to move out of his social networking campaign and has declared his new found desire to connect the entire human pop**ation to the World Wide Web (though it is only a speculation as remote tribes will certainly not be a part of it) and these drones will facilitate the same.

This project is not limited to just drones flying around you but is multitude to satellites adorned with infrared lasers too. These satellites in combination with the drone will enable the authorities to provide a service reachable to all even in remote areas. It is a prototype of making the World Wide Web an actual virtual web surrounding the earth. We can easily formulate Mark’s interest in this matter as this project will not only reveal the world to vast amount of information the infinite virtual space but it will also expose Facebook to a much greater level than it is now. It is a clever scheme but nevertheless very effective.

According to Mark, these drones will provide efficient access to the location under these machines, something that cannot be expected from a balloon driven piece of intelligence. Mark has always worked to keep his ideas and designs above all to be considered the best and so is he taking this project to be. The illuminating technical minds behind the world’s longest flying solar-powered unmanned craft called Zephyr, will be joining the Facebook Connectivity Lab on this enticing venture.

This step is certainly a big leap for Facebook as this project will allow the 5 billion souls of earth to access the internet facilities something which project Loon of Google certainly can’t accomplish. Observing this noble step many other well known companies have also come forward to play a role in this project like Samsung, Qualcomm, Nokia, MediaTek, Opera and Ericsson. Internet data access is in the hands of telecommunication operators at last so Zuckerberg is resolving this by placing them on the high seat and simultaneously developing low budget yet efficient smartphones. Then there is the factor of data consumption also. Less data consumption means low cost. So the company is also looking for ways to reduce the data required for running any service, contemplating to include data compressing tools and other similar ideas.

Windows Phone 8.1 Hacked.
Vulnerability allows hacker to run their application with other user's privileges and edit the registry.

Just few weeks after Microsoft announced a 19 year-old critical security hole existed in almost every version of its Windows operating system, XDA-developers have discovered a new vulnerability in Microsoft’s youngest OS Windows 8.1 that could easily be exploited by hackers to hack a Nokia Lumia phone.

XDA Developers hacker who go by the name DJAmol has found a wide open hole in OS Windows Phone 8.1 which makes the operating system very easy to hack. The vulnerability allows attackers to run their application with other user's privileges and edit the registry.

DJAmol realized that simply by replacing the contents of a trusted OEM app that has been transferred over to the SD card, the app will inherit the privileges of the original app. Once done, an attacker could then delete the existing directory and create a new directory with the same name as the original App.

As a result, the third party registry editor app will gain full access to the Info and Settings in the app itself. This how the hack can be implement in a few simple steps prescribed by XDA-developers.

- Develop your own application package and deploy it on the target device.
- Install an any application such as “Glance Background Beta” from the Window Phone app Store.
- Delete all folders under the targeted directory of the installed app, in this case, Glance background.
- Now copy the contents of your own deployed package and paste it on the targeted directory. This implies replacing the “Program Files” of the installed app with your package files.
- Finally launch the App which will run in OEM (Glance Background beta) directory using the privileges of the targeted App.

The hack is very simple and easy to implement because all it need an application from the Window app store. But thankfully, the hack has not yet escalated to a full interop unlock, as the applications which are allowed to be moved to the SD card have limited access.

XDA developers forum reported the vulnerability to the Microsoft and also warned them that the vulnerability could give higher privileges to the attackers if tried using a First Party Application, rather a third party app. By the time, we can just wait for a response from Microsoft’s part to prevent it from getting more serious.

Pengguna simkad Prepaid Celcom telah mengalami satu gangguan server internet. Malah hari ini adalah hari yang lebih teruk di mana pengguna internet Celcom telah gagal untuk membuat pembelian data internet.

Ada yang GAGAL untuk menghantar SMS belian data internet. Yang lebih teruk, ada yang dikatakan BERJAYA. Tetapi, bila semakan dibuat, Celcom telah menghantar SMS mengatakan pengguna tidak melanggan apa-apa data internet. Lebih malang lagi, nilai kredit TELAH DITOLAK. Kes berat nih.

SEBAB APA FENOMENA INI BERLAKU??
Saya telah mendapat info secara TIDAK RASMI menyatakan bahawa Celcom sedang meng’UPGRADE’ sistem dan server internet mereka. Nak upgrade apa lagi?? Kan dah 4G??
Memang betul. Setahu saya, khidmat internet tergendala suatu ketika dahulu adalah sebab proses nak upgrade ke 4G.
TETAPI, apa yang menyebabkan sistem sekali lagi tergendala adalah kerana CELCOM NAK BLOCK UNLIMITED INTERNET.

Bila saya kaji, sekarang ni simkad Celcom XMan sedang hangat dijual dan mendapat permintaan tinggi!!! Syabas kepada semua seller dan reseller simkad tersebut. Namun, seperti yang saya selalu sebut. Perkara ini akan ada repeatation atau ulangan. Simkad yang UNLIMITED pasti kena BLOCK. Bezanya lambat atau cepat. Dan untuk simkad Celcom XMan, kemungkinan besar inilah masanya ia akan diBLOCK.

Sejauh mana kebenaran berita ini tidak dapat dipastikan. InsyaAllah saya akan kongsikan sekiranya saya ada berjumpa dengan ‘orang’ tertentu yang terpaksa dirahsiakan identiti beliau.
