Malaysian Water Information System Development of web and mobile-based GeoSpatial analysis for flood modeling using natural water information and intelligent vector compression.

Floods are hydrological events caused by abnormally high amounts of water input and insufficient discharge capacity. Malaysian Water Information System (MyWIS) are instigated to warn emergency services, local and central government as well as those communities at risk to take effective action before the occurrence of a likely flood. Effective early flood warning is essential if local authorities a

The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) has allocated funds to be channeled annually to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to conduct research and evelopment activities, creating a more comfortable and conducive environment for generating intellectual capital, new ideas and innovative technologies. Project Malaysian Water Information System (MyWIS) For Flood Web-Based has been done under grant Design a state-of-the-art data dissemination and analysis for DSS using web and mobile-based platform sponsorship by MOHE.
