13TH FEBRUARY 2026
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
In October 2025, a former member of the Party lodged a complaint with the Registrar of Societies (ROS). The complaint questioned the validity of the Party’s office bearers, annual general meetings, and other related matters.
On 26 January 2026, the ROS issued an official letter to the President confirming that all complaints against the Party and its leadership were baseless. The ROS affirmed that the Party’s documents and procedures were in proper order after a full investigation. The ROS also revoked its earlier letter dated 5 December 2025. That letter had been misused by irresponsible individuals to distort facts, mislead members, and confuse the public.
Subsequently, on 27 January 2026, the ROS formally confirmed the list of members of the Party’s Central Working Committee.
With this confirmation, YBhg Tuan S. P. Punithan remains the legitimate President of MIPP. All members of the Central Committee are duly recognised and lawful office bearers.
Separately, the plaintiff, Santharasekaran Subramaniam, has withdrawn his writ action filed at the Shah Alam High Court. The suit raised the same issues previously referred to the ROS. The withdrawal was made on 12 February 2026, with liberty to file afresh. The Party issues this statement to clarify the facts and to end the spread of misinformation and false claims circulating in various forums. The Party reserves all its legal rights.
Thank you.
