It was an honour to support Sabah’s leading gateway to global opportunities! The Sabah Convention Bureau (SCB) was pleased to attend the Sabah International Expo (SIE) 2026 Welcoming Dinner, celebrating the start of an exciting platform that connects Sabah with businesses and opportunities from around the world.

During the evening, SCB, represented by our Chief Executive Officer, Mdm. Noredah Othman, was honoured to receive a memento from YB Datuk Ewon Benedick in recognition of SCB’s official support for SIE 2026.

A grand beginning to a transformative gathering for East ASEAN. ​The Sabah Convention Bureau (SCB) is proud to celebrate the official opening of The 3rd BIMP-EAGA Trade, Investment and Halal Industry Conference today at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).

​The opening ceremony was grandly officiated by Y.B. Brig. Gen. Datuk Haji Al Hambra Tun Juhar, Deputy Speaker of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly.

​Gathering key leaders, trade delegates, and industry players from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines under the theme “Connecting Markets, Scaling Values,” this milestone conference underlines Sabah’s growing role as a strategic hub for regional trade integration, Halal industry development, and high-impact business events.

The Sabah Convention Bureau (SCB) team, represented by Ms. Nattelim Lim, Senior Marketing Executive (CM&I), and Mr. Bonny Rayyan Lin, Marketing Communications Executive, successfully concluded two productive days at M&C Asia Connections 2026, held in Kuala Lumpur on 18–19 August 2026.

On 11 August 2026, Sabah Convention Bureau was honoured to attend the 10th Malaysia Digital Economy Forum (MDEF) 2026, held at the ITCC Grand Ballroom. The forum brought together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to exchange insights and explore the future of Malaysia and ASEAN’s digital economy.

We are especially proud that our CEO, Madam Noredah Othman, was invited as one of the distinguished speakers at the forum, sharing valuable insights and perspectives on the evolving business events and tourism landscape.

With the theme “Blue Economy & Emerging Technologies: Empowering a Resilient, Digital and Sustainable Future for Malaysia and ASEAN,” MDEF 2026 explored how emerging technologies, particularly AI and digitalisation, can drive innovation across key areas including the blue economy, cybersecurity, digital tourism, smart destinations, and the new digital economy.
