🚀 Paving the Way for a Sustainable Energy Future

What an impactful 7th International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) 2026!

Our Chairman, YM Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Aziz, delivered a keynote address highlighting the urgent need to bridge the investment gap, strengthen energy security and accelerate the region’s transition towards a more sustainable energy future.

With ASEAN requiring an estimated USD200 billion annually through 2030 to fund its energy transition, greater investment, regional cooperation and innovation will be key to building a more resilient energy ecosystem.

The strong momentum was also reflected at the MIDA Booth, which received around 40 enquiries on green projects, signalling continued investor interest and confidence in Malaysia’s green economy.

Building the infrastructure for Malaysia’s AI future.

Puan Zuaida Abdullah, Deputy CEO, Investment Development, MIDA, officiated Panduit Technology Day Malaysia today, highlighting the importance of future-ready infrastructure in supporting Malaysia’s rapidly growing AI and data centre ecosystem.

With Malaysia’s data centre pipeline nearing 13GW, Panduit’s continued investment and advanced manufacturing presence in Johor Bahru underscore the growing opportunities in digital infrastructure and high-value manufacturing. These efforts are strengthening local capabilities, creating skilled employment opportunities and supporting the ambitions of NIMP 2030.

Breaking new ground for sustainable manufacturing. 🚧

MIDA was honoured to witness the groundbreaking ceremony of BAC’s new US$150 million manufacturing facility in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. The investment will strengthen Malaysia’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem, create up to 200 high-skilled jobs by 2035, and reinforce the country’s position as a regional hub for innovation and sustainable growth.
