NOTIS PEMBERITAHUAN JABATAN PENGAIRAN DAN SALIRAN (DID SARAWAK)

Dimaklumkan bahawa kerja-kerja pembinaan untuk membaikpulih dan menaiktaraf sistem saliran di Laluan Masuk Utama Ke Jalan Luis, Kuching akan dilaksanakan seperti berikut:

Tarikh: 20 April 2026 sehingga 15 Julai 2026
Masa: 8:00 pagi hingga 5:00 petang (lsnin sehingga Sabtu)
Tempoh Penutupan: 13 minggu

Pengguna-pengguna jalan raya diminta berhati-hati semasa memandu di laluan berkenaan semasa tempoh kerja-kerja pembinaan sedang dijalankan dan mematuhi segala pengurusan
trafik untuk keselamatan dengan perhatian khusus.

Pihak DID Sarawak akan memaklumkan dari masa ke semasa sekiranya terdapat sebarang perubahan pada tarikh, waktu atau kawasan yang terlibat dengan kerja-kerja ini. Pengguna jalan raya turut dinasihatkan untuk merancang perjalanan di kawasan-kawasan yang terlibat. Segala kesulitan amatlah dikesali.

MAJLIS PENYERAHAN TAPAK PROJEK DI KAMPUNG JUGAN, DAERAH BAU

LUNDU | 5 Mei 2026 – Majlis Penyerahan Tapak Projek Menaiktaraf Sistem Infrastruktur Pertanian Sawah Padi di Kampung Jugan, Daerah Bau telah diadakan di Kampung Tebaro, Lundu dan dirasmikan oleh YB Billy anak Sujang, Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) N.1 Opar. Turut hadir bersama adalah, Setiausaha Politik kepada Premier Sarawak, En. Niponi Undek, wakil dari Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (DID) Bahagian Kuching, En. Mohamad Atiqurrahman bin Khaidzir dan Pegawai Pertanian Bahagian Kuching, Puan Gracia Siah.

Taklimat projek telah dibentangkan oleh wakil dari Jabatan DID Bahagian Kuching, En. Mohamad Atiqurrahman bin Khaidzir. Komponen-komponen projek merangkumi ;

1. Construction and Completion R.C Canal : 1,285km
2. Construction and Completion of Gravel Road : 780m
3. Construction and Completion Screwdown Gate
4. Construction and Completion Control Check Gate
5. Clearing and Desilting Existing River and Earth Work
6. Proposed Construction and Completion of Earth Bund and Drain

Projek di bawah peruntukan Kerajaan Sarawak ini telah diletakkan pelaksanaannya di bawah Program Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agenci (GKCDA) di kawasan DUN N.1 Opar. Kontrak projek ini telah diberikan kepada M/s. ZM Capital Sdn. Bhd. dengan kos berjumlah RM3,210,701.00. Tempoh pelaksanaan dijadualkan selama 12 bulan bermula 30 Mac 2026 dan siap pada 29 Mac 2027.

Pelaksanaan projek ini akan memberi manfaat kepada penduduk yang terlibat dengan aktiviti penanaman padi dan mampu menaiktaraf sosio-ekonomi penduduk setempat melalui penghasilan padi yang lebih baik.

Kontrak projek ini telah diberikan kepada M/s. Syarikat Pembinaan Maludam dengan kos berjumlah RM1,754,109.80. Tempoh pelaksanaan dijadualkan selama 12 bulan bermula 30 Mac 2026 dan siap pada 29 Mac 2027.

Pelaksanaan projek ini akan memberi manfaat kepada penduduk yang terlibat dengan aktiviti penanaman padi dan mampu menaiktaraf sosio-ekonomi penduduk setempat melalui penghasilan padi yang lebih baik.

LAWAS | 26 APRIL 2026 - The ground-breaking ceremony for the project "Membina Jalan Dari Kpg. Murud Suang Ke Persimpangan Long Pos, Lawas, Sarawak" was successfully conducted at Kampung Murud Suang. This event was organized by Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak, the implementing agency for the project, with support from the Resident's Office, the Lawas District Office, and the JKKK of Kampung Murud Suang.

The arrival of the esteemed guest, Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Bin Ali Hasan, Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development II, and Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment, was celebrated with a traditional dance performed by the local Lun Bawang community. Following this, a brief presentation was held at the exhibition booth by Yang Berbahagia Datu Ir Ts Ahmad Denney Bin Haji Ahmad Fauzi, Director of DID Sarawak, along with Principal Assistant Director, Ir Faizul Bin Abdul Wahab.

The symbolic ground-breaking ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Bin Ali Hasan, Deputy Premier, in front of an audience of 400 local community members from Kampung Murud Suang and surrounding villages in the Trusan Area.

The ceremony was also witnessed by Yang Berhormat Datuk Hajah Rubiah Binti Haji Wang, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, Yang Berhormat Dato Henry Sum Agong, Member of Parliament for P.222 Lawas, Yang Berbahagia Dato Jasni Bin Haji Jubli, Director of the Sarawak State Development Office, Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM), Yang Berusaha Tuan Haji Unus Bin Tambi, Resident of Limbang, and En. Ladin Bin Atok, District Officer of Lawas.

The project “Membina Jalan Dari Kpg. Murud Suang Ke Persimpangan Long Pos, Lawas, Sarawak” is funded by the Federal Government through the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development as part of the Rural Road Program. The aim of this project is to create road connectivity from Kampung Murud Suang to Kampung Long Sebulu and to the Long Pos junction, which will involve the construction of two bridges over Sungai Sebulu and Batang Trusan, which are included in the project’s scope.

The contract for the project has been awarded to BWS Engineering Sdn Bhd, with a total contract value of RM112.7 million. The duration of project is 130 weeks, commencing from 16th December 2025 and is expected to be completed by 13th June 2028.

The main scope of works of the project are:
1. Construction of 8.82km tar-sealed road with JKR-R1 specification
2. Construction of 1.11km tar-saled spur road
3. Construction of two concrete bridges, one over Sungai Sebulu of 88m length and another over Batang Trusan of 290m length

This project will provide benefits to the entire community along the Batang Trusan. In addition to improve road connectivity within the Trusan area, it will also serve as a foundation for enhancing basic infrastructure and exploring opportunities for potential socio-economic development.

KICK-OFF MEETING & SITE MEETING HANDING OVER CEREMONY FOR PROJECT “MEMBINA JALAN DARI SEMPADAN MALAYSIA/ INDONESIA KE BA’KELALAN, LAWAS, BAHAGIAN LIMBANG,SARAWAK”

LAWAS | 23 APRIL 2026 - The Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak has once again successfully handed over another rural road project titled "Membina Jalan Dari Sempadan Malaysia/ Indonesia Ke Ba’kelalan, Lawas, Bahagian Limbang, Sarawak" to the appointed contractor.

The Kick-Off Meeting, chaired by YBhg. Datu Ir Ts Ahmad Denney Bin Haji Ahmad Fauzi, the Director of DID Sarawak, was held at the Lawas District Council, Limbang Division. The meeting included a briefing by the DID Principal Assistant Director of the Agricultural Engineering and Rural Infrastructure Division, Ir. Faizul bin Abdul Wahab, along with the consultant Perunding C.F, represented by Puan Monica Lema Ak Jang.

The ceremony for handing over the project to the appointed contractor, Dumas Holdings Sdn Bhd, took place following the Kick-off Meeting. This event was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato Henry Sum Agong, Member of Parliament for P.222 Lawas; Deputy Director of DID Sarawak, Ir. Irwandee Bin Reduan; DID Limbang Divisional Engineer, En. Iwan Bin Helmi; as well as representatives from the Limbang Resident Office and Lawas District Office.

The project is funded by Federal Government through Kementerian Kemajuan Desa Dan Wilayah under the Rural Road Program. Its objective is to establish a proper access road for the community in the Ba’Kelalan area and its surroundings, leading to the Ba’Kelalan CIQ complex and the Malaysia/Indonesia border.

The total contract sum awarded to Dumas Holdings Sdn Bhd is RM79,797,000.00 with a project duration of 104 weeks, commencing on 24th April 2026 and expected to be completed by 21st April 2028.

The main scope of works of the project are:
1. Construction of a 3.8km concrete road adhering to JKR-R3 specifications.
2. Construction of one reinforced concrete bridge with a length of 30 meters.

This project will serve as a catalyst for the socio-economic development of the local community by facilitating inter-trading between Malaysia and Indonesia, while also exploring opportunities for the growth of the tourism industry in Ba'Kelalan. Furthermore, this project will create a platform for the enhancement of basic infrastructure within the local area.

KICK-OFF MEETING & SITE MEETING HANDING OVER CEREMONY FOR PROJECT “MEMBINA JALAN MENGHUBUNGKAN KAMPUNG BENAT DAN KAMPUNG GUMPEY, GEDONG, BAHAGIAN SAMARAHAN, SARAWAK”

KUCHING | 22nd April 2026 - The Kickoff Meeting and Site Handing Over Ceremony for the project "Membina Jalan Menghubungkan Kampung Benat Dan Kampung Gumpey, Gedong, Bahagian Samarahan, Sarawak" was successfully conducted at the Department Of Irrigation And Drainage ( DID ) Sarawak Headquarters at 10th Floor, Wisma Saberkas in Kuching.

The meeting was chaired by YBhg. Datu Ir. Ts. Ahmad Denney Bin Haji Ahmad Fauzi, Director of DID Sarawak. The handing over ceremony to the appointed contractor, Samado Sdn Bhd was witnessed by representatives from ADUN N.26 Gedong and Parlimen P200 Batang Sadong, as well as representatives from Samarahan Residen Office and Gedong District Officer. Additionally, Deputy Director of DID Sarawak, Ir. Irwandee Bin Reduan along with the supervision team, which includes the project consultant Perunding C.F and the Divisional Engineer of DID Samarahan, were also present at the meeting.

The meeting was briefed by the Principal Assistant Director of the Agricultural Engineering and Rural Infrastructure Division, Ir. Faizul bin Abdul Wahab, and the consultant Perunding C.F, led by Ir. Ts. Abang Zulasri Bin Abang Abdul Ghapor.

The project is funded by Federal Government through Kementerian Kemajuan Desa Dan Wilayah under the Rural Road Program. The objective of the project is to establish road connectivity from Kampung Benat to Kampung Gumpey via a bridge that will be constructed over Batang Sadong, which is included in the project’s scope.

The total contract sum awarded to Samado Sdn Bhd is RM64,990,000.00, with a duration of 130 weeks, starting from 23rd April 2026 and anticipated to be completed by 19th October 2028.

The main scope of works of the project are:
1. Construction of 2.6km tar-sealed road with JKR-R3 specification
2. Construction of one no, of concrete bridge of 200m length

Upon completion of this project, in addition to benefiting the communities of Kampung Benat and Kampung Gumpey directly, this road will also serve as an alternative road from Kota Samarahan to Pekan Gedong, which currently the journey takes approximately 80km and will be shortened to 50km.
