We were scheduled to have fire drill on Monday, and thankful the haze index reading was under 100, after weeks of horrible weather. So we told the firemen to proceed with the fire drill and come with a big fire truck!

Thank you to BOMBA Tabuan Jaya team for being so friendly, kind and patient with all of us, and teaching us the important things we need to do when there’s fire.

1. Shout “FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!” to alert everyone and get someone to call 999.
2. If your shirt caught fire, cover your face, drop down on the floor and round around to put out the fire.
3. How to use a fire extinguisher - PASS

Children were thrilled to be able to sit in the fire truck too and the kind Abang BOMBA even put on the siren for us (sorry for all the noise, Neighbours! 🙏🏻)

We didn’t have any fire demo, probably because of the weather, or because Ms Amelia did not request earlier? But next time we have fire drill again, we shall request for fire demo 🤭

One fun messy-play day to end our Nature Around Us topic last Friday.

There were twigs, leaves, rocks, shells, water, flour, noodles and pasta, flowers and all sorts of things.

Can you imagine the fun and smile all morning? There were moments where children giggled and laugh, and there were quiet moments where they just concentrate on what they were doing. It was definitely a fun-filled morning!

One big fun day before we get on with our Name Recognition month 💪🏻

Our theme “The World Around Us” is coming to and end, and this week we are learning about the Nature Around Us, and we are so lucky to have a tree at the neighbour’s house which has a lot of cute ladybugs 🤣 (which we only discovered this week).

Question: When we release these cute ladybugs back into the nature, should we send them back to the neighbour’s tree (it’s destroying all the leaves on the tree 😅) or release them on our own grass? 🤣

A lot of outdoor activities this week. We also had “insects scavenger hunt” and Nature Walk around school compound to look for different colours plants.

Gloomy weather but such a nice day to be outside 🥰

Since we are learning about “Our Community”, we brought our students to Ta Kiong Supermarket at The Spring Mall.

A day before we went on our shopping trip, we made our own shopping list, which has to be within our RM10 budget. There were a few options for children to choose from and they get to choose 3 or 4 items 😁

This morning, our big bus came to school to pick us up and dropped us off safely at The Spring Mall. We were greeted by Mr. Chin, the manager of Ta Kiong Supermarket, and the friendly staff of the Ta Kiong.

Then teachers distributed the shopping list to each child and they went on with their shopping. Once done, everyone queued up at the counter and waited for our turn to pay the cashier, bagged out items and we are done!

It was a cute experience to watch all the children being independent. There was lots of noise, lots of laughters, all smiles 🥰

Thank you once again to Aunty Lisbet, Mr. Chin and team, Uncle bus driver, all parents, teachers and Aunties. Looking forward to our next outing! 🥳

Happy Sarawak Day!

Kamek Anak Sarawak, and we are proud to be one. This Sarawak Day, we have made our own new Sarawak baby, the Air Borneo, learned about our Sarawak Flag, and of course stand still for the Ibu Pertiwiku song.

All children are very happy with their Air Borneo 🤗 and teachers are happy to made it with them too. Let’s hope we all get to sit in it soon 🤭
