Magical Maran Clickers

Magical Maran Clickers We want to help the Special Education Students (Pendidikan Khas) at our school, by helping them learn valuable social and trade skills.

Our goal is to work together with the Special Education Students (Pendidikan Khas) at our school, to help them gain skills so that they may be able to support themselves independently in the future! The problem is that these students do not get enough exposure to and interaction with everyday social situations, and so we want to make it our goal to help them improve in this aspect. We want to work

together with them to create handicrafts that we can sell. Together, we will make bracelets, necklaces, keychains, and greeting cards. We want to sell these items to fellow students and teachers at school, and then move on to selling them at our local town's Pasar Malam. The Special Education students will be involved in making these items (thereby teaching them a special trade, which they can use to assist in financially supporting themselves in the future, and they will also be the ones to sell these items to others, which will improve their social skills and benefit them in daily conversations and interactions. Our group will be there along the way to help them with anything they may need help with. The profits we will make from the selling of our items will be used directly to further benefit the Special Education students at our school, by sponsoring a school event or trip, in which the students will gain greater access to the public sphere and gain exposure to objects, ideas, concepts, and other things that they may have be able to experience otherwise.

The results from the CLICK 4.0 - Social Entrepreneurship for Teens and Finale in KL ..... We have been placed as SECOND RUNNER UP in the national level in all of Malaysia!!!!! We are so excited to know that all of our hard work has paid off. We will humbly go forth and continue our project with new energy. Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us along the way. We have learned where hard work and dedication can take us, and we know that in the future, we will never give up on our dreams. Thank you to LifeChamp, the Click Committee, Sunway University, and Boston Consulting Group for giving us such a great opportunity. AND THANK YOU to all of our friends, our school, our teachers, and everyone who has supported us and helped us! We are looking forward to the future!

Also, a huge congratulations to Endeavors in second place and Funky Fresh for First place!!!! And MOST OF ALL congratulations to all the teams that participated in not only the grand finale, but also in all of the Click Camp in the first place!!! We are all winners, because the most important thing is the experience.

Hey there! This is now the 10th week since we've started to implement our project at our school!

This week, we actually received some orders for our handicraft items that we made the first month of our project, back in July! And so we spent some time after school this week, making bracelets and greeting cards, so we can fill our orders. We are excited that we are still receiving some orders for our craft items. And we are also excited to make them again because they are fun to make and we missed it.

Other than that, we are very busy with school, because our Form 4 clickers had exams this week, and because our Form 3 clickers have their trials PT3 coming up next week, that we are busy studying for this week for. Actually, this week, besides from doing the craft items, we have also been studying together with help from our ETA Miss Jaclyn. She has been helping us to study mathematics and doing problems together, which us form 3 students are all so nervous about that subject for next week's exam. O.o

Hey there! This is a belated post regarding what we have been doing last week (during the 9TH WEEK of our project). There were some issues with getting the pictures we took to be uploaded online.

During the 9th week of our project, we were really busy with promoting our video that we had made! We made flyers and posters to be distributed to the students and teachers, and we also made announcements at morning assembly. Eventually, we began to have a "computer station" after-school and during recess time, so that students who did not have access to internet at home (which were so many!!!) could use our computer if they would like to like the video.

BUT that's not all that we did! During the time of video promotion, we still continued with the sales of our products!! And so we also continued to generate some more profit! On Saturday, we made and sold some more of the hot food items, chicken nuggets and fun fries, to be sold to the students who were staying in the hostel. We enlisted the help of some of our friends during the process, and our food was really popular and became sold out almost immediately!

Even though the 8-week project period for this CLICK 4.0 - Social Entrepreneurship for Teens has technically ended, we are still really enthusiastic and excited for our project and we will continue to work on it at our school! And we will continued to update you all via our weekly posts :)

This week, we have been very busy promoting our video!! We made an announcement at morning assembly. And we also set up a computer station for students today during recess so they could come and like our video! (But we don't have any pictures from that because we were too busy trying to spread the word to students that we totally forgot to take pics!) We promoted our project and our video a lot to the students at our school and we are planning on promoting it more and also to our community this weekend!

Hey guys!! This is the 8th week of our project, and this is the end of the project implementation period for our Click! 4.0 Camp!

This week, we made hot food items again to sell, together with the PK students, to raise money. And we also received several more orders for bracelets that we are working to fill.

This week, we are also working very hard on filming and putting together our Click Camp video and also on the Final Report!

We will be uploading our video later tonight, so be sure to keep an eye out for it!! Voting for it begins tomorrow and lasts for 1 week - so be sure to click "like" and support our project!!!
