🌟 AeroLEAD 2026 First Engagement Session 🌟

26.8.2026, Nibong Tebal.

School of Aerospace Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia successfully conducted the first engagement session between our AeroLEAD student mentors and students from Kolej Tingkatan 6.

AeroLEAD is a student-led aerospace engagement programme supported by the Boeing Higher Education Relations (HER) Grant.

The programme aims to provide early exposure to aerospace, STEM, university learning experience and future career pathways.

Through this initiative, USM Aerospace Engineering students serve as mentors and facilitators to guide pre-university students through interactive learning, design challenges and aerospace-related activities.

The first session focused on ice-breaking, peer engagement and building early connections between the AeroLEAD mentors and the participating students. There will be several upcoming engagement sessions with the Kolej Tingkatan 6 students, covering three main modules: Aeromodelling, RC Aircraft and CubeSat/Satellite Education.

It was wonderful to see the students exchanging ideas, working together and beginning their aerospace learning journey in a friendly and supportive environment.

We look forward to more exciting sessions ahead leading towards Aerospace Engagement Day 2026.

*AeroNight 25/26 Celebrates Aerospace Engineering Community in a Night of Appreciation*

School of Aerospace Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, 27 June 2026 – The Aerospace Engineering Society (AeroSoc) successfully organised AeroNight 25/26, an annual dinner attended by 8 lecturers and 55 students at Dealova Event Hall, Mydin, bringing together the programme community for an evening of appreciation, celebration, and fellowship.

The event began with registration, followed by an opening ceremony, welcoming remarks, and a prayer before dinner. Guests then enjoyed a dinner session in a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged interaction between students and lecturers.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of Dean’s List certificates, recognising students for their academic excellence. The programme also featured lucky draws, performances, and a video presentation showcasing memorable moments throughout the academic year.

AeroNight 25/26 served as a meaningful platform to strengthen relationships, celebrate achievements, and foster unity within the Aerospace Engineering community.

The School of Aerospace Engineering extends its sincere appreciation to AeroSoc, the organising committee, lecturers, students, and everyone who contributed to the success of AeroNight 25/26. Special thanks are also extended to the School for its continuous support and encouragement in making this event possible.
