⭐ "Keeps feeding us, then complains when we come closer."
⭐ "Calls us pests without understanding our role."
⭐ "Loves our beauty, but cages us for it."

Humorous? Maybe.
Uncomfortable? Hopefully.

Because every species has a role to play, whether we find them cute, scary, fascinating, or misunderstood.

It was a pleasure to welcome a 62-member delegation from various departments of Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan to The Habitat Penang Hill on 20 August 2026.

Led by YH Dato’ Zaliza bin Zulkipli, Mayor of Kuantan, the delegation was welcomed by Danny DC Chua, Managing Director of The Habitat Group, before exploring The Habitat Penang Hill and experiencing the rainforest along the way.

The evening continued with an insightful presentation by Justine Vaz, Executive Director of The Habitat Foundation, followed by dinner at Andaman Tents.

We thank the team from Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan for their visit, support and interest in The Habitat Penang Hill. We hope the visit offered an opportunity to exchange ideas, discover new perspectives and experience the connection between people and nature.

At The Habitat Penang Hill, our experiences are designed around respect for nature, creating opportunities to discover the rainforest without disturbing the species that live here. Because conservation starts with how we choose to experience wildlife.
