*Parts of the Day in English*

day = when the sun is in the sky
night = when the sun is NOT in the sky
sunrise = when the sun first appears in the morning
sunset = when the sun disappears at the end of the day

midday = noon = 12 in the day
midnight = 12 at night

morning = before 12 (midday)
afternoon = 12 (midday) until sunset
evening = sunset until you go to bed (or 10pm/11pm).
night = when there is no sun and it is dark

*Greetings in English*
Three common greetings used in English are:

Good morning (used until midday/noon)
Good afternoon (from midday/noon until sunset)
Good evening (from sunset)
Good night is NOT used as a greeting.
Good night is only used when you leave a place, when you say goodbye to someone, or when someone goes to bed.

# What subjects are needed for computer science? #

To study computer science, you must have studied these subjects for SPM or equivalent:

Mathematics
Additional Mathematics
Additionally, some universities may require you to have studied the following subjects for A-Level, STPM, or equivalent:

Mathematics (highly recommended and compulsory at certain universities)
Computing / Computer Science

**In order to pursue a Diploma in Business, you will need to have:**

SPM / O-Level: Minimum 3 credits, including a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and History.
A typical Business diploma is 2 years long, where you will get sufficient exposure to various fields of Business, from accounting and finance to marketing and management.

You can choose to join the working world, or proceed to a Business Degree (usually entering from the second year onwards), upon the completion of your Diploma in Business.

(2) Degree in Business

To pursue a Degree in Business, you need to obtain your SPM or equivalent qualification, AND also a Pre-University or a Foundation qualification.

The requirements that you will be required to meet for your Pre-University or Foundation are generally as below:

A-Level: Minimum of 2Es; or
STPM: Minimum of 2Cs; or
Australian Matriculation: Minimum of ATAR 50, with credit in Mathematics; or
Canadian Pre-University: Average of 65% in 6 subjects; or
Foundation in Business or Arts: Minimum CGPA of 2.0
A Business Degree is usually 3 - 4 years long, depending on the institution that you apply for.

You will be equipped with in-depth understanding of various business concepts and processes, which includes the whole range of business fields such as marketing, accounting, economics, and so on. Many universities also incorporate elements of Entrepreneurship in their Business courses.
