In d sixties n early seventies, cooking was done on wood fire or kerosene stove. Every month Dad would buy discharged plywood from d sawmill and hired a bullock cart powered by a single male bull controlled by a Singh to bring it home. We d boys used to cut d wood in small pieces for mum to cook. It was hard work but harder for mum to cook us good meal and washed the pot that turn black under d wood fire.

At d government quanters in Jln. Melintang we hv a small area in d garden where we hv ducks n chickens n a about sixty pigeons. My bros n i are to feed them morning n in d evening. I used to walk 3 blocks to my relative house to take their food leftovers to feed d ducks. Life was simple n fun.

Time were tough during my primary school in d seventies.Bapak once taught me how to fight bullies at school. He said if there is more dat one, always concentrate on one and always take care if yr brothers. Got into several fight trying to protect my bro Rahman. The only son that ask him to join a fight was Zainal Abidin.

The 3 Abdul. Abduk Razak is named after our 2nd Prime Minister, Abdul Rahman is named after our 1st Prime Minister and Abdul Aziz is named after Prof Engku Aziz, not even a minister but a academicial. Most of our childhood, when it comes to festive season, we would be in d same type n color outfits.

he's strong,never can keep still, always want to do something, he sweat, he breath heavy, he is kind, always has coins in his pocket to give kids,he never miss a prayer,he helped people..he's my father and i am proud to be like him..but i can never be him..
