🌟 RCTT Youth & Vocational Service Project 🌟

07 August 2026, the Rotary Club of Tawau Tanjung (RCTT) was delighted to bring 10 members of the Interact Club, together with President Kiki, fellow Rotarians, and Friends of Rotary, on an educational visit to Tawau’s leading prawn aquaculture farms.

Our visit to MAG Aquaculture Prawning Farm at Kampung Wakuba, Tawau, a modern aquaculture facility spanning 97.9 hectares with 102 cultivation ponds was organised by our PP Desmond, Youth Service Chair)

Over the course of two insightful hours, participants gained valuable knowledge about the complete prawn aquaculture process—from breeding and hatchery management to feeding practices, pond cultivation, and sustainable farming techniques. It was an eye-opening experience that showcased the innovation and dedication behind one of Sabah’s important agricultural industries.

A heartfelt thank you to the management team for their warm hospitality and for generously treating everyone to a delicious tasting session featuring fresh Black Tiger Prawns and Vannamei Prawns. It was the perfect ending to an educational and memorable visit.

Experiences like these continue to inspire our young leaders by connecting classroom learning with real-world industries while promoting vocational awareness and career exploration.

💡 【Protecting School Health Starts with Every Little Detail!】✨
Today, the Rotary Club of Tawau Tanjung, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Senai, launched a significant school hygiene improvement project! 🤝❤️ We visited two primary schools in Tawau:

🏫 SJK (C) Kuok Ming
🏫 SJK (C) Phui Yok

We provided EV Sun germicidal lamps in the restrooms of both schools! ⚡🦠

Restrooms are among the most frequently used areas on campus and are also breeding grounds for bacteria. We hope that this installation will effectively inhibit and disinfect bacteria for all teachers and students, creating a cleaner, more hygienic, and safer school environment, allowing children to learn with peace of mind and teachers to work with peace of mind.

The healthy growth of our children is our greatest wish! Thank you to the school for their full cooperation, and thank you to all the Rotary Club members who have contributed their hard work and dedication. 🙏🌟 Rotary Club spreads love, service never stops! 💪❤️

🌟 RCTT Youth & Vocational Service Project 🌟

Today, the Rotary Club of Tawau Tanjung (RCTT) had the privilege of hosting members of the Interact Club of Sabah Chinese High School on an educational visit to Khaspermata Plywood Factory in Tawau.

A total of 26 Rotarians and Interactors participated in this meaningful vocational learning experience, gaining firsthand insight into the complete plywood manufacturing process—from raw timber and material preparation to the final stages of production.

The visit provided valuable real-world exposure, allowing our young leaders to better appreciate the importance of innovation, teamwork, quality control, and the diverse career opportunities within the manufacturing industry. Experiences like these help bridge classroom learning with practical industry knowledge while inspiring the next generation of leaders.

Our sincere appreciation goes to our very own Rotary member, PP Dr. Kim Joo Sang, owner of Khaspermata Plywood Factory, for the warm hospitality and for generously sharing your knowledge, experience, and expertise with our participants.

A special thank you to our Youth Service Chair, PP Desmond Liew, for organising this meaningful visit, and a warm welcome to AG Peter Sia, President Kiki Chang and all Rotary Club of Tawau Tanjung members who joined and supported this event.

As we embark on a new Rotary Year 2026-2027, we were delighted to hold our first regular meeting under the leadership of President Kiki. It was encouraging to see strong support and active participation from our members, who enjoyed a meaningful evening of fellowship, engaging discussions, and the exchange of ideas.

We were also pleased to welcome a guest to our meeting. Throughout the session, members shared their personal Rotary journeys and experiences, providing valuable insights into the spirit, values, and impact of Rotary. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce our guest to our club, foster new connections, and offer a deeper understanding of what Rotary is all about.
