As we celebrate the sacred festival of Thaipusam, we at St. John Ambulans Malaysia Kawasan Pahang Tengah Bera Combined Adult Division would like to extend our heartfelt wishes to all who are observing this meaningful occasion.
Thaipusam commemorates the day when Lord Murugan received the divine spear (Vel) from his mother, Goddess Parvati, to defeat evil and restore peace. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil, and reminds devotees to overcome challenges through faith, sacrifice, and inner strength.
