The Namibian Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities today held a community awareness event in Eenhana.

Held under the theme “Breaking the Silence: Promoting Safety, Inclusion and Equal Rights for Persons with Physical Disabilities",the event served as a platform for persons with physical disabilities to share their lived experiences, highlight challenges affecting them, and learn more about their rights and available support services.

The initiative also underscores the importance of building an inclusive society where persons with disabilities are empowered, respected and able to participate equally in their communities.

Education Ministry announces final NSFAF application window for 2026

THE Minister of Education, Dr Sanet Steenkamp, has announced the final application window for the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) for the 2026 academic year.

The final application period will run until 7 October 2026. The Ministry explained that this follows requests from students and trainees who were unable to apply during the previous application windows.

“Eligible students and trainees, including those enrolled or intending to enrol for the September 2026 intake, are encouraged to make use of this final opportunity and submit their applications through the official NSFAF platform before the closing date,” the Ministry added.
