On August 31, Ambassador Zhao Weiping was invited to attend and deliver remarks at the Official Opening of the First Session of the Fourth Junior National Council. Right Honorable Elijah Tjitunga Ngurare, Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, Honorable Lukas Sinimbo Muha, Chairperson of the National Council, and members of the Junior National Council were in attendance.
In his remarks, Ambassador Zhao stressed that China will actively implement the important consensus reached by H.E. President Xi Jinping and H.E. President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, with youth development and exchanges as an important focus, continue to implement more youth-oriented projects in Namibia, and further deepen people-to-people exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Namibia.
Ambassador Zhao expressed the hope that the youth of China and Namibia will carry forward the traditional friendship between the two countries, enhance mutual understanding, and make positive contributions to building a China-Namibia community with a shared future for the new era and advancing bilateral relations.
