The stakeholder engagement meeting between NAMWATER and the Kunene Region, held on 04 June 2026 at 09h30, was attended by Mr. George Pieter Kamseb, Chief Regional Officer; Ms. Trully Gau-Goas, Acting Director: General Services; and Mr. Ino Namwoonde, Deputy Director: Planning and Development. The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism invited the youth and the entire public in Opuwo to attend an information-sharing session as part of the awareness programme leading to the commemoration of the International Day for Biological Diversity on 18 May 2026 at the Ministry of Health and Social Services Hall, Kunene Region.
The programme aimed to raise awareness on the importance of protecting biodiversity, conserving natural resources, and promoting environmental sustainability for present and future generations.
Members of the public were encouraged to attend in large numbers and take part in this important educational initiative. The event was successful

The Directorates represented include DAPEES, MICT, MWT (Maintenance), DEIYSAC, Planning, Human Resources, Finance, and Procurement. Overall, the meeting has been productive and informative.
