An elderly person took a nasty fall at her place of residence and sustained injury to her head. Concerned family members immediately raised the alarm, and our medical team was dispatched to the scene.

After on-scene stabilisation, the patient was transported to hospital for further assessment and investigation.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

● ECP-BASIC / INTERMEDIATE x 1
(with a valid Code C1 driver's license - with PDP preferred)

You will work shifts as per operational requirements under the direct supervision and guidance of an Advanced Life Support- Paramedic in an EMS-setting.

REQUIREMENTS:

● A comprehensive and current CV
● ECP-Basic or Intermediate certificate
● HPCNA practice card (2026/2027)
● Namibian ID document
● Valid Code C1 license (with PDP preferred)
● Fluency in English - read, write, and speak
● Must be medically fit to perform operational EMS duties

PREFERENCE will be given to candidates:

● Residing in Swakopmund

● Currently unemployed

● Able to communicate in Afrikaans

● Meet all requirements

● Starting date: 30 September 2026

▪︎ the position available is a LOCUM fix-term position with the possibility of renewal / extension pending work performance

▪︎ a written, oral, and practical skill evaluation will form part of the interview process

Considering the mechanism of injury, all occupants came off with relatively minor injuries in an MVA on the B2 route involving 3 pick-ups. In total, 4 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to attend to the injured.
