Portrait morning. Western striped-bellied or yellow bellied sand snake.
Sand snakes are long and thin and mostly active during the day. Most species have long lines running down the body. They are extremely fast and are often seen racing across the ground chasing down lizards. They are mildly venomous but harmless yo humans and pets.

Vine or twig snakes have amazing camouflage and can be very difficult to spot. They spend most of their time in trees and prey on birds and reptiles. They have a potent haemotoxic venom but very seldom bite.
They don't just look at you, they appear to be judging you.
Vine snakes occur in most of Northern Namibia.

Speckled shield nosed snake/cobra, Aspidelaps scutatus. They have a very large rostral scale on the nose which they use for digging, a bit like a bulldozer. They are fossorial spending most of their time underground and are nocturnal. Most often encountered at night after rain. They have a neurotoxic venom.
