⚠️ URGENT PUBLIC NOTICE: TOWN-WIDE WATER PUMPING INTERRUPTION ⚠️

To: All Residents and Businesses

Please be advised that the town’s boreholes and pumping stations are currently offline due to power supply disruptions experienced by Cenored.

⚡Cenored’s technical team is actively on-site working to resolve the power outage in oder to restore the operation of the pumping infrastructure as a matter of urgency.

The entire town is currently being supplied strictly from the Tupperware Dam reservoir.

Currently reservoir reserves are limited, hence strict conservation is required to maintain system pressure and prevent a total dry-out.

💧The Municipality is appealing to all consumers to minimize consumption as a matterofurgency.

🚫 Strictly No Outdoor Watering: In the meantime, all gardening, lawn irrigation, and non-essential outdoor water use should be limited or avoided at all cost.

Please limit usage strictly to drinking, cooking, and basic sanitation.

Update for Kuvukiland Informal Settlement:

Residents of the Kuvukiland Informal Settlement are notified that the municipal water tanker has encountered a mechanical fault and is currently out of service.

Residents are encouraged to make use of the community's elevated water tanks, which currently still contain water. Repairs to the tanker will be expedited.

The Municipality sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen infrastructure challenge.

For urgent inquiries, please contact: Water Supervisor: 081 146 0008
