Recently, US General met Kapofi, Minister of Defense and security over jihadist and drug cartels. The main goals being to enhance security partnership with Namibia......
Questions are:
1.Namibia is predominantly Christian-based country. Of all the places where does jihadist come from, all of the sudden and to be spotted as a threat in the country by US, and not by Namibians?
2. During colonial times, when Namibia needed military and intelligence support the most, where was the US? And why now when the country is at peace we should require military engagements and partnerships? For what? And to protect who, US interests in the country?
3. Doesn't this sounds strange that this engagement it's happening at the same time with Angola, the two oil countries? And as we speak, there is massive riots and protests happening in Luanda to get the Chinese out. Of recent, we had some individuals wanting Caprivi to become a country of its own, right at the border. What a coincidence?
4. Why does the US have the largest embassy in Namibia, bigger than countries with long historical good relationships? Probably, the largest embassy in Africa. What is that Namibia have that the US is eyeing? US don't sit where poverty is. They sit where they want to control and dominate. Just like when the suggested to help Namibia manage its oil.
Insight/opinion: Putting my puzzle together, some based on the history of other countries (e.g. Libya, middle east, etc.),
- US uses minority, radical and extremist groups to destabilise peace where they see potential and great interest. They fund them to cause chaos, sometimes cause coups, and later on show up pretending to come in as samaritans trying to help meanwhile, persuing their main goals and interests.
- A country with US on their soils never knows peace and never achieve it's goals. There is always interference. Look at what is happening in Libya today.
- Americans are very calculated. Their cards are already planned and designed long beforeone can think of. An intimate relationships with US is very difficult to get rid off, tough marriage. Such, puts us in a very good and vulnerable position for SANCTIONS that we cannot escape and could largely hurt our economy in the future, should we refuse to agree to any of their proposals. LETS PUT OUR EGGS IN OTHER BASKETS TOO and let's make it easier for us to be able to have partnerships with other countries.
- Let's not depend on US for military support, but let's have a business and trading business instead, that we could reciprocate tariffs just as Trump is doing. Mutuality.
Namibia continue to be a peaceful country you are, Don't be party to dirty global military and politics games. Engage more with investment and trade businesses. We are still young to engage such high level military/political propagandas, else, we are doomed.
