GBV Unit in Rundu receives hygiene packs
Adolescents and Children, HIV
Incidence Reduction, Empowerment, and Virus Elimination project, (ACHIEVE), this morning donated hygiene packages to the Ministry of Gender's GBV Unit in Rundu.
The hygiene kits, worth N$37 000, consist of lotions, bathing soaps, towels, earbuds, baby bottles, under garments for woman and children, washing powder, roll on and tooth paste.
Achieve Project Management Director, Taurayi Gwnange, said the aim of the project is to address the many overlapping vulnerabilities experienced by adolescent girls and young women in age groups of between 10 to 24 years.
Achieve is equally concerned about the gender based violence reported to be on the increase in the Kavango Region. The organization on its own capacity, has trained staff providing post GBV clinical and non- clinical services to GBV survivors.
