HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY DEARLY BELOVED BROTHER, TRUSTED ALLY, AND OUR PEOPLE’S VOICE OF WISDOM – THE HON. (REV.) FRANCIS EJIROGHENE WAIVE
I have been active in politics for a while, and recognise genuine leaders who mean well for our people when I see them. The Hon. (Rev.) Francis Ejiroghene Waive is a great discovery in this rare class of leaders. It is for this reason that I often say with great pride that his 2019 election to represent our people in the House of Representatives is unquestionably our people’s “best investment” in the politics of Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency. He is a unique gift to our people.
My dearly beloved brother, your extraordinary diligence, commitment, wisdom, and intelligence in the service of our people simply attest to your godly character. Though a first-timer in the ever-vibrant Green Chamber, you have sponsored more bills than many who have had the rare privilege to represent us. Your voice is articulate and makes great sense whenever you speak. You give our people so much pride in the House.
As a matter of principle, you have consistently focused on the greater good of our constituents. You have brought to our people whatever that is due to them on your watch, though you may not make political noise to promote yourself. For you, our people’s best interest comes first. This is quite visible in your attention to the expansion of learning facilities in our schools so that our children may learn in comfort; electrification of our towns and villages; reconnection of communities that have been in darkness for years in our Federal Constituency to the national grid; and connecting our constituents to many federal opportunities, including social empowerment.
It is your birthday. In the order of the Holy Bible, silver and gold I may not have, but I offer you immense personal gratitude on behalf of our people for investing your best efforts for the betterment of our people at this time. Your excellence in the three core areas of legislative business – lawmaking, representation and oversight – is exemplary and undeniable. Thank you indeed. May God Almighty bless and keep you to always lift up our people and humanity to His eternal glory.
Happy Birthday, Reverend!
