Barr. Emmanuel Gowon is maintaining a quantum lead in the firmament of the struggle for the seat of Ardo-Kola/Lau/Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency.

The atmosphere in Bambuka was electrifying upon the arrival of Barr. Emmanuel Gowon to the headquarters of the Bambuka Nation. The people could not hide their joy as they expressed their total support for the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Barr. Emmanuel Gowon to represent them and the entire good people of Ardo-Kola/Lau/Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency in the 10th Assembly.

In a melodramatic demonstration by the youths of Bambuka that later snowballed into a bigger one, the youths were seen chanting in Hausa parlance saying "mun gaji da lema sai doki" [we're tired of the umbrella], of course referencing PDP long stranglehold on the seat.

Against all odds, the good people of Bambuka pledged their total support to the Gowon's project.

Over 20,000 Members Of The UMCN Northern Province Drums support For Barr. Emmanuel Gowon.

Ahead of the February 25th 2023 presidential and national assembly election, over 20,000 members of the northern province of the United Methodist endorsed and adopted Barr. Emmanuel Gowon, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as their sole candidate for Ardo-Kola/Lau/Karim-Lamido House of representatives seat at their conference holding at Mararaba Apawa, Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.

According to the leadership of the northern province of the United Methodist, the decision to endorse Barr. Emmanuel Gowon as their preferred candidate for the house of representatives seat of Ardo-Kola/Lau/Karim-Lamido federal constituency did not come at the behest of the leaders of the province but from the unanimous decision of the whole members of the northern province.

While addressing the congregation after the endorsement, Barr. Emmanuel Gowon said women and youths empowerment is at the top of his priority list. And that if elected, he will set-up a skills acquisition centers one each across the three (3) local government that constitute the federal constituency. The centers will train men women at quarterly basis and provide them with start-up packs, Gowon added.

Gowon further said, he remains the only candidate armed with the requisites knowledge laced with vast experience of lawmaking and representation. The people of Ardo-Kola/Lau/Karim-Lamido federal constituency should expect optimal representation, Gowon conclusively added.

As one of the guest speakers at the ongoing Baptist Annual Convention holding in Jalingo today, the leading house of representatives candidate for Ardo-Kola/Lau/Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency, Barr. Emmanuel Gowon enjoined the congregation to use the period and pray fervently for peace in the state and the nation at large.

While drawing inspiration from the theme of the conference which is coined from John 13:34-35; Barr. Emmanuel Gowon also charged the Christian faithfuls to spread the message of love to all and sundry irrespective of creed.

As Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Barrister Emmanuel Gowon has expressed his Goodwill message to commemorate the celebration.

In the message he issued on Christmas eve, Barrister Emmanuel Gowon admonished all Christian faithfuls to live in the true definition of Christ through firm adherence to his virtues.

“The event of Christ birth should constantly remind us that we are to live in full exhibition of who Christ is, that is, to live in love, peace, and tolerance.”

He also “appealed to the Christians faithfuls to reinstate their minds towards extending the hands of love, benevolence, and also live as one united family irrespective of religion or other strains of diversity”.

Lastly, “he reassured the good people of Lau, Ardo-Kola and Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency that his development plans and strategies will move the constituency into becoming a beautiful abode that is worthy of being mentioned at state and national levels”.
