EPISODE THIRTY-TWO

We spent almost the whole day searching for austerity in the bush, and managed to settle under a tree when we became fully exhausted.
Great-kali who was bleeding heavily couldn’t help himself anymore and started to convulsed. At this point my prayer was that, God should send a helper since I couldn’t do anything to help.
I told Great-kali to remain calm while I look for a way out.
I left him there, and luckily found a hunter who was going home after a successful hunting, for that evening .
He taught I was a very big animal and wanted to shoot, when I shouted “Please ooo, I’m not an enemy”. After hearing this he dropped his long 18inches (25cm) gun and came to my aid;
ME: Please help me sir
HUNTER: Who are you and what are you doing in this bush path, at this hour of the day?
ME: I’m Eli, a friend of mine was shot by some armed men, who attacked us on our way to my village
HUNTER: Where is your friend now?
ME: I left him under a timber tree over there
HUNTER: Lead me to him
ME: Okay sir

We rushed down to where Great-kali was.
The hunter went deep into the bush, and finally came out with some leaves which he used in preparing a concoction.
He applied this concoction on the spot and give to Great-kali to chew.
He took us to his house where he successfully removed the bullet.
I was baffled with the traditional technique he used;
ME: Thank you sir, so what is your name?
HUNTER: I am Ikenga but people around call me Ikenga the great
ME: I really appreciate your kindness and hospitality, I don’t know how to pay you, for your kind gesture
HUNTER: Don’t mention, I’ve helped so many people in the bush, and the gods are paying me heavily for it
ME: Thank you sir, I know it is late but I think we have to go
HUNTER: You can’t go now because your friend hasn’t recovered fully, just pass the night here and by Tomorrow you both can leave
ME: Okay Sir, Thanks alot
GREAT-KALI: Thankssss
HUNTER: Please relax okay, I think I have to prepare something for us to eat.

He went to an external hut, where he prepared boiled yam.
When it was ready, he brought the boiled yam which we ate with palm oil.
The hunter Mr. Ikenga told us so many historical stories about the bush, and the small village he stays..
We finally went to bed after he finished with the story.

THE NEXT DAY

Mr. Ikenga escorted us to a four junction in the bush, and showed us the path to take.
We took the path and managed to get to the road side after about 1hr 30mins trekking, as a result of Great-kali inability to walk rigidly…

We walked down the road, where we saw a vendor.
I took some newspaper and saw an interesting topic, I didn’t wasted a single time as I turned to the page that contained the story

ME: Great-kali imagine this guy doing advert on newspaper and the director of the newspaper allowed it

I took another newspaper and found a particular heading related to us.
ME: Great-kali wait oooo… This is about us
GREAT-KALI: What is that?
ME: It says “Armed robbers cart away ATM machine, kill four”
GREAT-KALI: Let’s read that
VENDOR: Abeg una hold my paper since, drop am if you nor won buy
ME: How much?
(Sending my hands into my pocket, brought out the only one thousand naira note which came along with my ATM card)
VENDOR: Na N150
ME: Take….. gimme change oo
VENDOR: I hear….. Take your change
(I collected it from him)

We went to a comfortable resting corner where we
read the whole story…

Armed robbers cart away ATM machine, kill four
Heavily armed robbers have invaded a branch of a bank in Lagos State, killing 3to4 guards and a resident of the town who wanted to use the ATM machine.
Newswatch Times learnt that the armed men, numbering four, stormed the bank yesterday evening and carted away huge sums of money from the bank’s ATM vault in an operation which lasted for two hours.
It was gathered that the robbers used dynamite to remove the bank’s Automated Teller Machine (ATM) which they took away after the operation.
A resident of the area said he witnessed the robbery operation, who spoke under condition of anonymity, said the robbers stormed the bank around 5pm after the bank had closed for the day.
The witness said the Divisional Police Station were informed and went after the gang, which makes them shot sporadically to scare away the policemen.
The source noted that the policemen were able to apprehend two of the crew with the remaining two not found yet.
Speaking on the development, the CID said it’s the same gang lead by Anini. The two that were caught are under the police custody undergoing treatment and will be transfered to Abuja by Saturday to be prosecuted, since they refused to confess.
He said it was sad the attack took the life of residents of the town, and also some mobile police.
The Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the robbery, adding that the police had commenced investigation into the attack.
More update will be posted as time goes on

The news was really a touching one, and we were very happy to hear that Parcy and Great-kali were still alive.
We needed to contact Babisky concerning the Magical power I said to Great-kali, who approved it.
Our target now is to have an external power to stop the police, from taking Parcy and Sharon to Abuja….

EPISODE THIRTY-ONE

Everything we planned has been scattered by Parcy, so we needed to act fast (change of plan).
We quickly took actions, in order not to make further mistakes…
I went into the bank and found two security men dead, while Great-kali was dragging his gun with a mobile police.
I knocked the Mopol (Mobile police) down with my gun, and gave him two blast on his chest. We didn’t wasted a single second, as we dash off to the ATM machine.
We blew it off with dynamite and took the whole machine inside our car.
We noticed the tray containing the cassette where the money was, was still inside the mini-house, that was built for the machine.
We kept on shooting the walls until it became wide opened. The vault was opened as well and we were shocked to see some neatly arranged cash.
Parcy brought out a bag which we carried along with us, and started packing the cash inside with Sharon assisting him.
Myself and Great-kali blew another of the ATM machine with dynamite, took the machine as we did with the first one.
And continuously shoots the vault containing the cassette, where the money was stored, until it became opened.
We made sure all the cash inside was in our possession, before we all dashed into the car.
Arguably, we took a different rout which wasn’t our plan, and discovered a police vehicle coming.
There was no doubt that they have been informed.



Great-kali who is an expert in driving, creatively reversed the car and took the opposite direction, which we were coming from.
We haven’t gone far when we saw a military hilux coming towards us, Great-kali took a rout on the left while we brought out our criers to make the action a better one.
They kept on chasing us, leaving us with no option than to shoot at them…
Our powerful criers really helped us, as their cars broke down due to the continuous blasting of their tyres.
We were so happy that their vehicle can’t continue with the chase, only to find out that there was an army checkpoint ahead of us.
No way to turn back, because of the high speed Great-kali has been taking.
More also, the police are still behind us under minding the fact that they have flat tyres.

It was just as if the Armies have been informed as they took positions waiting for us to drive closer.
We taught of a way out, and decided to have a fight with them since we now have powerful arms.
We threw missiles which took some of them off, and started shooting spontaneously at them.
Unlike police, they retaliated blasting us with their machine gun which was at the top of their vehicle, some of them hid behind the iron drums that were arranged close to their shield.
We successful hit their block of sacks filled with sand and drove off, but they chased after us.
We knew it’s impossible to challenge Nigeria Army, so we ran off the car immediately Great-kali match an automatic brake.
Leaving some of our guns and missile.



We taught we will make it easily if we entered the bush, so we took cover as we prepared to take off.
But it was so unfortunate that Parcy and Sharon were not lucky enough to escape.
They were blasted with some powerful shots which makes them collapsed on the ground.
Myself and Great-kali managed to escape through the bush path, with Great-kali sustaining some wound and gunshot….

EPISODE THIRTY

continuation from last scene, episode 29

ME: Thanks…. But I really don’t think I can spare your life
UNCLE JUDE: Okay! Okay! What if I send your younger ones abroad to continue their education?
ME: Time up Uncle Jude, maybe in your second life you will be that kind. Guys let’s leave this place
UNCLE JUDE: Are you leaving me here
ME: I’m leaving your co**se here **I pulled the trigger**
(The sound of my gun shot was heard trice, leaving Uncle Jude dead on the spot)
ME: Sharon pick up the bag, we have to leave here immediately…

We left the scene without encountering any form of difficulty, and entered our car with Great-kali handling the steering.
We arrived home about 15mins later, and search the bag to see all that was inside…
So many documents were found inside the bag, including some properties I knew nothing about.
Papers to two buildings in Lagos was found, papers to the house Mr. Jude sent us out from. A paper to a very large estate was also found, and some documents of my fathers property in the village was inside as well.
I quickly removed them and placed them in my personal file;
SHARON: Don’t tell me, your father is this wealthy?
PARCY: This man really wicked oo, abeg bring out the ATM cards make we go empty his account
ME: We can’t empty his account because all ATM machine has a limited withdrawal that can be made for a day
GREAT-KALI: We will take the amount we can and even use the opportunity to raid the bank
ME: Error, we just raided a bank. I don’t see it as a good idea to repeat it
PARCY: Anini na you dey talk like this? My money don almost finish oo, so I won top am back
ME: The only thing I can support is that, after we have finish with the withdraw, we can smash up the ATM machine and go away with the cash inside
SHARON: That idea nor bad sha, but how can we go about it?
ME: Very simple and easy. All we have to do is to go there when the bank must have closed, make our withdraw before going in to make complain to the security, that our ATM card has been seized by the machine
PARCY: Na so! My guy you enter class. As them won help us rectify am na patatatatatakpo
ME: Exactly, dynamite will be used to blow off the machine, and we will do go with the cash inside
GREAT-KALI: Are we using our car?
ME: No, we are going to hire a Lexus jeep, or sn**ch one
PARCY: No lele!! We must make am, nor be say na mouth

We concluded to carryout the mission that evening, and got ourselves engaged with other activities, while waiting for the right time for the movement…

5:30PM
Lion squad found in one of the banks, using their ATM machine

We succeeded in withdrawing N300,000 from the accounts which is a peanut to us. We made another attempt to withdraw but we were told that we have already exceeded the daily withdraw.
I was on mask while making the withdraw, so the machine can’t capture my face.
I sent Great-kali who was waiting on the car, to carryout plan B.
He walked to the security post to inform them about our card that was seized by the machine just as planned.
We were still waiting for Great-kali to return when two young guys approaches us. They asked us to excused them, so they can make use of the ATM machine but met their doom instantly;
GUY1: Can you guys excuse others who wanna make withdraw too, I’ve been standing here for almost 10mins and haven’t seen you guys made a single withdraw?
GUY2: I ba for them oo, see their head self
GUY1: Please i’m in haste, if its not paying you then give way so we can try
GUY2: Una dey whatsapp with the machine?
( Guy2 walking towards where we were standing, to check on us )

Parcy who lacks patience, blow him down before he could say a word.
The sound of the gun shot, got the security men informed of the danger, as the other guy (Guy1) ran away for his dare life.
It wasn’t long, when we heard another gunshot from inside the bank….

EPISODE TWENTY-NINE

The time I spent with my family, really shows the intrinsical power of wealth…

My mum prepared a very delicious vegetable soup with assorted meat, which we ate together.
We played so many games, and enjoyed some sweet stories that were told by my mother.
I never wanted to go back home, as I kept on enjoying my stay with my siblings and sweet mum.
My mum was about telling us a story about slavery, when my phone started ringing.
I brought it out and realised it was a call from Great-kali;
ME: Hello!
(walking towards the exit door, after excusing myself from their midst)
GREAT-KALI: Brother where are you?
ME: I’m still in my family’s house
GREAT-KALI: You have to show up now, we are at the grave yard with your uncle
ME: kai…. Which grave yard, you guys should go to any uncompleted building or forest to wait for me
GREAT-KALI: Okay!!!
ME: Wait oo Great-kali ! How can you do such a thing? Graveyard!!!
GREAT-KALI: Nor vex
ME: Please hurry up to somewhere better, and send me the address immediately
**call ended**

I went back to my family, and started listening to my mum’s story.
I haven’t even spent 5mins after the call I had with Great-kali, when a message beep my phone;

” Meet us up at the uncompleted building behind standard secondary school, we are waiting for you… ”

l stood up and told my mum that, the client who gave me the contract of 1billion naira just sent me a text, which i must respond to.
My mum didn’t complain about me leaving, even though she enjoyed my company and will miss my presence;
MUM: My son, when are we expecting you again?
ME: Mummy, you know we are all in Lagos now, so seeing each other won’t be a problem
MUM: I would have love you to pass the night here today, something inside me is fighting intemperately against you leaving
ME: Funny, I’m not a baby Mum. If I don’t respond to their call now, they won’t give me more contract
MUM: Okay my son, but please take care
ME: I will Mum. Lucky and Joy make sure you don’t move around any how, and always take care of mama
LUCKY: Brother, we will always keep mama busy. So don’t worry
ME: Okay, bye bye
( I gave Joy and my Mum peck on their chick, and hug Lucky before I left)

I went home, changed my clothes and fare straight to the address, where I meet the brave ‘Lion Squad’ all on black apparel.
My wicked uncle who was blindfolded, was laying helplessly on the ground. I turned him over and jiggled my head, as I watched him breathing so fast, and also quivering.
I removed the piece of sateen that was used to blindfold him, which makes him had an opportunity to whipped his face with his hands severally, before he could have a clearer vision of me, who was standing in front of him;
UNCLE JUDE: Eh Oluwa!!! Eli !!!
ME: Why the surprise
UNCLE JUDE: No wonder! So you are into crime?
ME: You have the guts to question me? Okay, Yes i’m into crime. Any other question?
(He kept on staring at my crew, whose faces possess no Joy)
UNCLE JUDE: Please let me go I beg of you, remember I’m your Uncle
ME: You are free to go
(He stood up and was about walking out of me, when Parcy used his gun to hit him twice)
PARCY: Mr. Man you nor dey fear face abi? I go use blender blend your brain just now, before you go wise. You think say na konkonli play we come here come do?
UNCLE JUDE: Sorry my brother
PARCY: Sorry for your head
GREAT-KALI: Old man, whether you like it or not, you won’t live to see tomorrow, so you better cooperate
UNCLE JUDE: Eh! Eli my son talk to them na?
ME: Talk to who?
UNCLE JUDE: Your friends ooo
ME: So you now need my help? Aren’t you the General overseer again? Can’t you talk to them yourself?
UNCLE JUDE: **crying** I don’t want to die oooo, please help your Uncle
ME: You won’t die if only you tell me why you hated my family, and the secret behind my Father’s death
UNCLE JUDE: I’ll tell you, but don’t let them kill me
ME: They will only do that if you lie
UNCLE JUDE: Okay… I love your father as a brother not until my mother made me realised that, he will be wealthy since he went to school and I will remain poor for not going to school. I had a rethink and planned to kill him, so I can convert all his wealth to mine
ME: But my Father did everything a brother has to to for you. He gave you a good business and even home
UNCLE JUDE: Yes he did, but my mother wasn’t Happy with him. Before she died she instructed me to kill my step brother, so she can rest well. I kept on seeing her spirit reminding me of my uncompleted mission. That was why I poisoned your father when he came to my house to give me some document of his property to hold for him, since he wanted to travel out that week
ME: I knew you killed my Father all this years, but couldn’t stand you then. How can I get back the documents?
UNCLE JUDE: They are in my bag here. I wanted to sell them out to someone today, that was why I carried them in my bag
ME: Who is the person that wanted to buy them?
UNCLE JUDE: The manager of ‘Brighter Days Company’, he was the one I went to the shopping mall to meet when I saw you and your family
ME: Have you collected anything from him?
UNCLE JUDE: No, he asked me to bring the papers first, that was why I went back to my officer, only to find these guys waiting for me in my car
ME: Good story. Well I would have love to spare your life, but if I do so my father’s spirit won’t be happy with me… I will advise you to talk to the spirit of your wicked mother to come save you now, because you are going down
UNCLE JUDE: Please Eli, I have some money in the bag too, you can have them, even the ATM to my 3 accounts are in the bag, you can go and withdrew from them
ME: What is the pin
UNCLE JUDE: 2611
ME: Thanks…. But…..

EPISODE TWENTY-EIGHT

After about 20mins of our arrival in Dubai, myself and Great-kali decided to take a Trail tour.
We wandered around Dubai in the city of Al-Barahah, searching for the next thing to do. We ended up reaching the train station and thought that maybe it’ll be cool to check out their Stadium.
We didn’t put much thought into it and next thing we knew, we’re on a cab towards Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure on earth, probably the first place you will be referred to in Dubai.
It was quite a hassle getting to “Burj Khalifa” but we found it to be a cool spot to chill out.
However, we failed to realize that there will be a pull-out of crowd and happening that late afternoon.
We lingered around too long only to find a cop pointing his gun at us.
Before I could asked what the problem was he shot Great-kali on his forehead.
The cop mission was to spoil our trip to Dubai, I couldn’t control myself as I felt the coldness of Great-kali palms. The cop pulled the trigger and was about blasting me…
SHARON: Wake up abeg, since when you start to talk when you dey sleep?
ME: Ohhhh!!! It was just a dream. Where is Great-kali?
SHARON: Himself and Parcy are eating in the dining. I brought your food here for you
ME: Thanks. When did you prepare this meal
SHARON: I didn’t prepare it myself, after I finished dancing we all went to Sizzlers to get it. We are just coming back
ME: Okay, thanks
(collecting the tray of food from her, placed it in between my legs and have a taste)

Sharon left my room immediately.
I joined them in the sitting room, after i’ve finished eating. We gisted together and made some strategic plan on how to get my wicked uncle Mr. Jude.
We really enjoyed our discussion that night, but I couldn’t tell them about the dream I had, even though it sensed a bad omen.

THE NEXT DAY (MONDAY).

I went to my family’s house, and waited for them to get ready for our outing…
Immediately they are fully prepared, we left for the shopping mall.
Getting there, my mother didn’t bother to pick anything, Joy was the one shopping for herself and my mum.
Lucky took all he needed in his cart, and we held straight to the cashier to pay for all we bought. I only collected a Rolex Cellini Prince golden wrist watch worth N450,000, I knew if I go for the one of N1.5Million Joy will be the first person to shout.

We were about walking out through the down floor, after the payment when we saw my wicked uncle.
He was surprised to see us all looking good;
MUM: Good morning my husband
UNCLE JUDE: Morning, but what are you all doing here
(Joy who hardly closes her mouth answered him)
JOY: Eli brought us here for shopping, as you can see we got lot of expensive jewelries, clothes, foodstuffs and others so numerous to mention
UNCLE JUDE: Good, so Eli where do you work? Sorry I haven’t come visiting I heard you are now a graduate
ME: Yes I am by Gods grace, am now a general contractor. You will get my complimentary card soonest
UNCLE JUDE: Oh! God is good, I have to go now emmh. I left my office in hurry to get something here
MUM: Okay
LUCKY: Bye!

He left us in disbelief. It was so obvious that he wasn’t happy with us and our achievements.
I felt is high time I attend to him once and for all, before he made any move to hurt me, because his heart is fully coated with evil.
I excused myself from my family, lean on a car far from them and dialled Great-kali’s phone number;
ME: Guy afar?
GREAT-KALI: Fine bro, how are you guys enjoying your shopping?
ME: It went well, we are about going home and I will be with my family for the next 1hr. I saw my uncle here, and I will want you guys to go kidnap him right now
GREAT-KALI: How do you want the job to be done?
ME: I gave you guys his house address, and his office address yesterday right?
GREAT-KALI: Yes
ME: Now he will be heading back to his office immediately he leave this place, so go wait him in his office and deliver the job
GREAT-KALI: Just assume the job has been done. You will hear from us soon
ME: Thanks

I ended the call and went back to my family.
We drove down home and checked all that we bought from the shopping mall…

EPISODE TWENTY-SEVEN

I had no friend in the village, so I have to give the king the contract of diminishing the mud house, and construct a better structure for my mum.
He agreed, since he claimed to have good engineers who can do the job.
N5Million was given to him by me for a start, since my budget for the structure is N10Million because the land wasn’t that big.

12NOON

We left my village exactly 12:00pm and arrived Lagos around 4:32pm.
We drove down to the G.R.A where the building I bought for my mum was.
My siblings were happy to live in such mansion but my mum was weak, she stood outside for some minutes before I realised, and rushed back to take her in.
We all went in and checked out the 5 bedrooms, in the duplex. They all selected their rooms, with extra two rooms remaining.
Joy forcefully gave me one which I knew i won’t even sleep unless I come visiting and choose to pass the night. She assumed the last one to be for guest.
I gave my mum N10million and my younger ones N500,000 each, after unveiling to her that the Rang Rover Jeep at the garage belongs to her.
I dropped the key on her palms and stylishly faced the exit door ;
JOY: Thanks very much brother Eli
ME: Don’t mention, I’m only fulfilling my promise
MUM: My son you surprised me
ME: Mama please don’t be surprised, you deserved more than all this, because you have passed through alot for our sake
(Tears of joy was dripping off my mums eyes, and I helped her to whip it with my handkerchief)
JOY: How will I do the WAEC GCE form I bought in the village?
ME: Forget about that one and buy a new one here in Lagos
JOY: I don’t think they are still selling it
ME: So what do you want me to do
LUCKY: Bros Eli don’t worry, when the time of the exam comes, I will follow her back home so she can write it there
ME: I disagree, the both of you can’t leave mama alone in this house. Joy can go there alone, she is a big girl now
JOY: Brother tell am oo, he always block my ways, and monitor my movements including the friends I make
ME: Shut up there! Don’t you know he is helping you? Don’t you wanna be a doctor again? Do you want to start following boys up and down
LUCKY: That is exactly what she want oo, and I won’t give her that opportunity
ME: You guys should come and carry your things. I will come around tomorrow to take you all out for shopping
JOY: I haven’t gone out for shopping before, hope we will be going to SHOPRITE MALL?
ME: Anywhere you want, you are the baby in the house. My friends are waiting, so I have to start going

They followed me down to where the car was parked, took their things, before I left with my real guys.

Great-kali who put Sharon on call, told us she is in our new home waiting for us.

We got to the house, parked the cars and went inside.
Sharon was busy dancing in the main sitting room, as she increased the volume of the set;
SHARON: My guys are back! Wow! Come and rock with me!
GREAT-KALI: You are liking yourself oo
SHARON: I dey tell you, you dey feel am?
(Parcy who the music got into his brain like an evil spirit rushed to Sharon and hold her waist, as they both danced to ‘Mansa’ a Ghanaian song sang by Bisa Kdei)

I just walked to one of the rooms in the house to rest my nerves, for a stressful 4hrs 30mins drive…
I finally dozed off, under the noisy condition of the song that was playing…

EPISODE TWENTY-SIX

My mum was the first person to rushed outside, immediately the noise of the villagers echoed in the compound…
Myself and my crew also went outside to see what was going on;
CHIEF AZAKAZA: Greetings to the mother of a lion
(I was surprised to hear him use the word Lion, it was just as if he knows my gangs name ‘LION SQUID’)
MUM: Eh Eh!! What brought you people to my hut?
CHIEF AZAKAZA: We heard that one of the best graduate this community has ever produced, has come back home with plenty of cash
MUM: Hmmmmm!
VILLAGERS: Yes oooo
MUM: So?
CHIEF EDWIN: We have come to welcome him warmly
MUM: I’ve welcomed him coldly, so he doesn’t need your warm welcoming
CHIEF AZAKAZA: But he is our son, a son of the soil, and a son of my second cousin Ayis
MUM: Now he is your son, you are even claiming cousin to my late husband… Where were you all when we have been suffering? Where were you all when I was dying? Where were you all when my son was doing laborer job in this village? clearing your compounds, farms, and even washing your clothes all for you to pay him N200. Before I opened my eyes I’m about to close, I don’t want to see you all in this compound
ME: Mama take it easy. You don’t attend to beggars like that
MUM: Leave them for me to handle, has any one of them come to this compound before to greet me

CHIEF AZAKAZA: That is the okololo 1 of Otor-Owhe kingdom A.K.A the Tiger
ME: What do you mean by Okololo one?
CHIEF AZAKAZA: That is your title, we will crown you chief immediately, if you will agree
ME: Okay, So I will give you N500,000 now to share among yourselves
(I told Joy to get me my small bag, where I collected the money and hand over to them)
MUM: Eli, is there something wrong with you? Oghene!
ME: Mama I got lot of papers so don’t worry. Have you forgotten what the bible said? ‘That blessed is the hands that giveth’ the bible also said that ‘We should give and it shall be given unto us’
ELDERS: Olõrogu Whóririe
(The great chief has arrived)
ME: Tell the king that I’ll be leaving town by 12noon tomorrow so he should come and meet me here, and collect 1.5million naira, and he should list all the problems the community has been facing. I’ll try my best to come every month end to solve them little by little

(Shouting as they walked towards me)

They lifted me up and took me to the palace singing joyfully.
I was conferred an instant chief, with the title “OKOLOLO 1 A.K.A TIGER OF OTOR-OWHE KINGDOM”
The chieftaincy conferment ceremony which was held at the residence of the monarch in Otor-owhe, had prominent chiefs from different land, who came immediately they heard the news. Some came from Owhologbo kingdom, Ozoro Kingdom, Ukpedi kingdom, Kiagbodo kingdom, even politicians and university dons were in attendance.

Great-kali and Parcy who was happy with the ceremony kept on throwing money in the air.
My mother and siblings were found in a royal seat, watching with fake smiles.
It tells that my mother wasn’t happy with the chief stuff, but only came out to watched the event should in case am going astray…

That evening, I had an overflow of words in my ears as my mum disapproved all that happened…
She later, advised me to be careful with other chiefs in the community, and not to even eat or drink with them.
We all slept that night hoping to wake up sound and healthy the next day.

THE NEXT DAY

The king was the first person to visit the compound…
His voice woke us all, as he shouted my title;
KING: OKOLOLO 1, The Paramount king of Otor-Owhe has come to visit your home

My mum and I came out, and greeted the king who entered our hut without feeling disguised;
MUM: Greetings my King
ME: Big man, you are welcome
(walking towards him to have a handshake)
KING: That is my son, your palms are soft
ME: Ya, I’ll get you the cream I am using for my palms. Why didn’t you come with the palace guards?
KING: No need for that, I am secured in this community
ME: Just wait let me get something
(I walked to my bag, brought out some cash and walked back to him)
ME: Mama please get me kolanut
(She brought the kolanut with a flat breakable plate and placed it in front of the king)
ME: This is N50,000 to support the kolanut from rolling
KING: Son of a smart man
ME: Here is another N50,000 for your hot (ogogoro) which is not available now
KING: You will live long OKOLOLO THE TIGER
ME: Lastly, I made a promise that I will give you N1.5million if you come to my house today. For being punctual I have decided to make it N2Million.
KING: You have done well my son, since the existence of this community no man born of a woman has done what you just did. I must acknowledge the fact that you have made your late father proud wherever he is now. My prayer for you is that; your pocket will never dry, you will live longer than your father, no plot of the wicked ones will get to you, you will succeed in anything you do both good and evil, your enemies will get closer to you begging to be your friends, you will achieve more than your expectation, our people say ‘Oghenevwogagan’ meaning ‘God is the provider of all strength’ he will give you the strength to succeed and to secure your wealth… These are my prayers for you my son, go and excel”

MUM: Amen
ME: Amen!

Everyone who was awake, apart from PARCY that was still snoring in my room shouted AMEN!!!
