The attention of NAPSS Senate has been drawn by some concerned NAPSSITES to a purported press release circulating on different media platforms jointly signed by NAPSS Executive and Senate President, "lubricating the political wheel of a particular gubernatorial candidate come 2023 on the Plateau".
It is no longer news that none of the Nigerian public universities is operational. To be precise, PLASU has been on strike since last quarter of 2021.
NAPSS is an apolitical students association with elected representatives, meant to work with any government in power, not to campaign for any political party or candidate whatsoever.
All NAPSSITES are on their personal capacities free to campaign for any political party/candidate of their choice, not using the association as a personal property.
Anyone thinking of or has thought of tarnishing the image of this association at a time when the government has no value for education will be appropriately punished.
NAPSS Senate will immediately swim into action upon investigation while we urge all NAPSSITES to remain calm at the moment.
