Chapter one
Vacation
Emily's POV
"Emily"...I heard my mom call me
"Yes mum"I answered as I went to meet her in the kitchen.
"You are not yet ready for the flight?"she asked me
"No mum am ready".....
"Okay go and pack your bags,we leave in twenty minutes"she said to me
"Okay mum"i said and left to my room.
My name is Emily Carter and am the only child of my parents Mr and Mrs carter,the owners of Carter fashion company.My parents are rich and we are a happy family.I am fifteen years old and I attend "Wilson Secondary School",one of the best schools in the country and I am in ss1.
Its the holiday period and my parents and I are going on a vacation to Paris.We are leaving in twenty minutes like my mum has said.its my first time going to Paris and I can't wait to get there and begin some adventures.
Twenty minutes later.......
We are in front of our car and we are about to leave for the airport but I suddenly feel strange like something bad is about to happen.This ominous feeling I just can't seem to shake off,just then my dads voice pulls me out of my thoughts
"Let's go"
Then we all get into the car and the driver starts the engine.We are on our way to the airport.
"Emily"my dad called me
"Yes daddy"I answered as u lift up my head to look at him,then he touches my head and placed a lingering kiss on my forehead.I was taken aback by my dads sudden display of affection,then I heard him say
"I love you and I want the best for you and that is why I signed all the company's ownership document in your name,so that as soon as you graduate form the university,you would take over the company".....
"What...dad am only in ss1 how could you sign all the company's ownership document in my name??, I still have about seven years before i graduate form the university"I said to my dad as I was still in shock over what my dad just said.
