TODAY'S NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA
(NYCN)

When national youth council of Nigeria was given a legal recognition, it was charged with policy formulation and implementation on issues bordering on youth development in Nigeria. It was said to be the umbrella and the mouthpiece of the youth. The national youth council is known for been instrumental to many education matters, empowerment, scholarship and support programs. National youth council is known as the apex body of Nigeria youth. That they are here to make a difference and build a greater nation.

Today, few youth presently representing the Nigeria youth at the confab, are only interested on their self-centered interests. They are now political campaign module with different wordings, hidden under the shades of youth union and comradeship.
The NYCN which should be a charge for Nigerian government has now lost it vibrancy, competency, right and power due to the negative mind set and lack of proper orientation before emerging into youth services. Today, the priority, the sole aim of founding NYCN has been neglected for something else.

Though in Nigeria this is a huge offense when you mention mistake or you criticize negative ideas of a leader to get things done appropriately. But all I knew we are collectively responsible for every development of this country, I will continue saying this till it becomes audible to the deaf.
