ICPC Nigeria A Nigeria free from all forms of corruption and corrupt practices. It was set up and empowered by the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000.

The ICPC is the apex body charged by the law with the responsibility to fight corruption and other related offences in Nigeria. ICPC was inaugurated on the 29th of September 2000 with a Chairman and 12 Members. Section 3 (14) of the Act ensures the independence of the Commission as not being subject to the direction or control of any person or authority.

ICPC Releases Reports on CEPTI Phase 6 and 2024 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard (EICS)

ICPC has unveiled the reports of its Phase 6 Constituency and Executive Projects Tracking Initiative (CEPTI) and the 2024 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard (EICS).

The announcement was made on Thursday World Press Conference held at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

While presenting the reports, Mr. Demola Bakare, fsi, Director of the Public Enlightenment and Education Department and Spokesperson for the Commission, outlined the Commission’s recent strides in combating corruption through these initiatives.

ICPC Chairman Gives Account of Stewardship after One Year in Office

The Chairman of ICPC, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, has marked his first anniversary as the head of Nigeria's foremost anti-corruption agency by presenting his account of stewardship.

The event, held on Tuesday at the Commission’s auditorium, also focused on the importance of asset recovery in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

In his speech, Dr. Aliyu who expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the Commission as its fifth Chairman, highlighted the Commission’s adaptation to evolving trends, particularly in equipping its workforce with digital tools to combat corruption effectively.

ICPC Chairman Cautions Lawyers over Frivolous Petitions against Anti-Corruption Agencies and Judges

The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, has cautioned members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) over writing unnecessary and frivolous petitions against anti-corruption agencies and judges in the course of litigations.

The ICPC Boss issued the caution on Monday, when he played host to the Chairman and members of National Litigation Committee (NLT) of the NBA, at the Commission’s Headquarters in Abuja.

ICPC Chairman Calls for United Action Against Procurement Fraud

The Chairman of ICPC, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu SAN, has urged stakeholders from all sectors to collaborate in fostering accountability and combating procurement fraud in Nigeria.

Speaking at the Close-out and Journalism Award Ceremony of the International Centre for Investigative Journalism (ICIR) Open Contract Reporting Project (OCRP) in Abuja, Dr. Aliyu underscored the pivotal role of procurement in public service delivery.

The ICPC Boss declared that transparent and honest procurement processes are vital for enabling governments to deliver infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other essential services to citizens.
