On this blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha, I extend my heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to all residents of the Federal Capital Territory, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters.

Eid al-Adha is a time of reflection, sacrifice, unity, and compassion. It reminds us of the profound values of obedience, faith, and generosity as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). As we celebrate with our families and communities, let us also remember the less privileged and extend a hand of kindness and support to them.

May this Sallah bring joy, good health, and prosperity to every home. May Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifices and prayers and continue to bless our dear nation, Nigeria.

Eid Mubarak!

Earlier today, I was at the Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) Nigeria 2025 National School Entrepreneurship and Awards in Abuja, where I urged educators, mentors, policymakers, and stakeholders to move beyond applause and translate their support into tangible actions that advance youth-led innovation.

At the awards, I called for increased investment in agricultural education that effectively blends theoretical knowledge with practical enterprise, alongside improved access to financing and tools for young agripreneurs.

I advocated for the establishment of innovation hubs where young people could collaborate on sustainable solutions to modern agricultural challenges.

Creativity and technological ingenuity hold the key to transforming agribusiness and securing Nigeria’s food future.

Nigerian youths are not just leaders of tomorrow but innovators of today.

Earlier today, I represented President Bola Tinubu at the 2025 national children’s day with the theme, “Stand Up, Speak Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation."

The President reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to the protection, development, and empowerment of every Nigerian child.

In the address, the President described Nigerian children as “the pride and future of our great nation,” emphasizing their role as the custodians of tomorrow’s promise, innovation, and leadership.

The President further stated that violence, bullying, and neglect have no place in Nigeria.

President Tinubu announced the full implementation of the National Plan of Action on Ending Violence Against Children (2024–2030):

He said this comprehensive roadmap was aimed at preventing abuse, prosecuting perpetrators, and supporting victims. The plan is backed by robust financing and multi-sectoral coordination.

The President further stressed that the government is expanding access to primary healthcare, upscaling Mother and Child Hospitals, and implementing the Nutrition 774 programme and School Feeding Scheme to ensure no child goes hungry and every child receives the nutrition needed to thrive.

The President assured children that their voices and dreams matter while urging them to speak up if they were bullied or harmed, promising that they would be heard and protected.

Earlier today, I joined my colleagues to celebrate the 2025 World Family Doctors Day in Abuja.

Speaking at an event organized by the Society of Family Physicians of Nigeria, FCT/Keffi chapter, I emphasized the critical need to strengthen primary care systems to address the growing health challenges faced by communities.

I also called governments at all levels for increased investments in primary healthcare across Nigeria.

I underscored the essential role family doctors play in supporting mental health and fostering resilience amidst global adversities such as climate change, social instability, and economic uncertainty.

Family doctors as frontline caregivers uniquely positioned to deliver continuous, person-centered care that promotes early intervention and holistic support.
