I attended the Second National Gender Inclusion Conference, held at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

There, I called for greater and sustained investment in women as a critical strategy for Nigeria’s economic transformation.

I stressed that women are indispensable contributors to national development as entrepreneurs, farmers, professionals, innovators, employers and community leaders, but continue to face barriers to finance, markets, land, technology, skills and decision-making.

I therefore advocated strong institutions, gender-responsive budgeting, reliable data and effective monitoring and evaluation, emphasising that “nothing about women should be designed without women.”

Yesterday, I was at the closing of the Women in Business and Impact Day of the Abuja Business and Investment Summit/Expo 2026, organised by Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.

I reaffirmed the commitment of the FCT Administration to promoting women entrepreneurship, inclusive economic growth and private sector-led development in the nation's capital.

I stressed the need to provide women entrepreneurs with greater access to finance, markets, technology, mentorship and leadership opportunities.

I also urged participants to translate the ideas and partnerships generated at the event into practical actions and sustainable investments capable of creating lasting economic impact.

Earlier today I spoke, on behalf of the FCT Minister, at the opening ceremony of the Abuja Business and Investment Expo 3.0, organised by Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) in Abuja.

I reaffirmed the commitment of the Administration to creating Nigeria's most investor-friendly business environment, declaring that Abuja is fully open for credible local and international investment.

I warned that land speculators, fraudulent developers and individuals who undermine the Abuja Master Plan would find no refuge in the Territory.

"Ease of doing business does not mean the absence of regulation. We will support and protect genuine investors, but we will not protect land speculators, fraudulent developers or businesses that disregard the law," I declared.

It was an honour to join the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, CON, on a courtesy visit to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON.

The meeting provided another opportunity to strengthen collaboration in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, particularly in areas that directly impact the environment.

I specifically appreciated the First Lady who had presented the FCT Administration with a Certificate of Commendation for keying into the Green Area Challenge initiative of the Renewed Hope Initiative.

I also deeply appreciate the First Lady's unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, women and youth empowerment, healthcare, education, and social inclusion. Her passion for improving the lives of Nigerians continues to inspire hope and national progress.

FCT Administration remains committed to working with all stakeholders to build a more prosperous, inclusive, and compassionate Federal Capital Territory and Nigeria.

The event marked the successful conclusion of the FCT Administration's extensive project commissioning programme, describing it as a testament to the Renewed Hope Agenda.

To this end, I express profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support that have driven the successful ex*****on of landmark infrastructure projects across the Federal Capital Territory.

I also pay glowing tribute to the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, CON, for his exceptional leadership and commitment to delivering critical infrastructure across the nation's capital.

At the event , I expressed appreciation to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for commissioning the project, describing her as a symbol of compassion, patriotism and commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

I also commended President Tinubu for his unwavering support for the development of the nation's capital and praised the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for his visionary leadership in accelerating infrastructure delivery across the FCT, particularly in underserved satellite towns.

Earlier today, I was at the construction of the access road from Tungan Madaki to the Abuja–Kaduna Road at Zuba, another bold demonstration of the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and the FCT Administration's determination to extend infrastructure and economic opportunities to underserved communities.

The road would significantly improve connectivity, stimulate commerce, attract investment, and enhance the quality of life of residents across Tungan Madaki, Zuba, and neighbouring communities.

According to the Minister, the project reflects the Federal Capital Territory Administration's unwavering resolve to ensure that no community is left behind in the ongoing transformation of the nation's capital.

I was at the commissioning of access roads, power and water supply to the Informal Sector Layout in Wasa District, in Abuja yesterday.

Undoubtedly, this is another major milestone in the ongoing effort of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to open up communities, improve livelihoods and deepen inclusive development across the Territory.

The provision of roads, electricity and water supply to the Informal Sector Layout is a clear demonstration of the FCTA’s commitment under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure that no part of the FCT is left behind in the march toward growth and prosperity.

I expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu, for providing the leadership and policy direction that continues to drive the transformation of the nation’s Capital.

I profoundly commend and appreciate the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her exceptional service to our nation, her compassionate leadership and her enduring support for initiatives that uplift communities and inspire hope among Nigerians.

I also respectfully pay glowing tribute to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose visionary leadership and Renewed Hope Agenda continue to provide the policy direction and political will for the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory.

The remodelling of the Abuja City Gate is yet another signature achievement that reflects passion for excellence, attention to detail, and commitment to making Abuja a capital city of global standard.
