APPRECIATION MESSAGE
The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation wishes to extend its appreciation to His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, all top Government functionaries, especially, Prof. Tahir Mamman SAN - the Honourable Minister of Education, Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi - the Honourable Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, the Permanent Secretary - Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Alh. Ahmed Tijjani Aliyu - Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Dr. Maurice Mbaeri - Representative of the SGF, Hon. Obika Chinedu - House of Representatives Member for AMAC/Bwari Constituency, all other dignitaries and the members of the general public who took their time to grace the Flag-Off ceremony for our Nationwide Medical Outreach, Award of Scholarships and Distribution of Food to vulnerable Nigerians.
The intervention programme was carefully designed to cushion hardships of the downtrodden in line with the policy framework of the Renewed Hope Agenda by complimenting the efforts of Government.
The contributions of the aforementioned Ministers and Heads of Agencies, as well as Non-Governmental Organizations culminated into the realization of this laudable initiative that pulled an incredible crowed.
Scholarships were awarded to 30 wards of most vulnerable families, and to the best performing students in the 6 Area Councils of the FCT-Abuja. The Medical Outreach is however targeting more than 3 thousand beneficiaries in the FCT. The Distribution of Food on the other hand is designed for 1500 families at least.
The response from all those who graced the occasion is highly commendable, as people keep singing praises of the intervention programme, the government President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also, the SSA to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation - Hon. Delu Bulus Yakubu.
