Through the Civic Pulse Initiative, we advocate for spaces where young women can speak, lead, participate, and influence decisions.

Women should not only be seen as voters during elections. They should have opportunities to shape policies, engage institutions, take up leadership roles, and contribute to community development.

Inclusive governance starts when everyone has a seat at the table.

Yet many young women still face barriers to political and civic participation, including limited opportunities, financial constraints, social expectations, harassment, and lack of access to leadership networks.

Civic Pulse Initiative advocates for more inclusive spaces where young women can participate, lead, speak, and contribute to decision-making.

We believe women’s participation should go beyond being voters or supporters during elections. Young women should also have opportunities to influence policies, join leadership structures, engage institutions, and shape community development.

Yesterday was the World Humanitarian Day, we at ODPMNigeria, we celebrate the courage, compassion, and dedication of humanitarian workers, volunteers, frontline responders, and the communities they serve.

Today, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting dignity, supporting vulnerable communities, strengthening resilience, and ensuring that no one is left behind.

Together, let us continue to put humanity at the heart of every action.

Campaign season begins tomorrow. Before you cheer for the crowd or share the slogans, listen to the promises, question the plans, examine the records, and decide with your head, not the noise around you.

As political campaigns begin on 19 August, the attention will shift to candidates, parties, rallies, promises, and political messaging.

But as citizens, we need to look beyond the noise.
Listen to what candidates are promising. Look at their records. Ask how they intend to deliver on those promises. Pay attention to issues affecting your community, from education and healthcare to jobs, security, infrastructure, and good governance.

Campaign season should be a time for citizens to ask questions and make informed choices, not a period for blind loyalty, misinformation, hate speech, or vote buying.
The power is ultimately with the voter.

Be informed. Ask questions. Compare the choices. Participate peacefully.
