Transnational drug trafficking is a global threat that knows no borders, impacting the safety of communities from Lagos to Los Angeles. Strengthening Nigeria’s capacity to investigate and prosecute narcotics offenses is more than just a local victory—it’s a direct investment in U.S. national security.

We are proud to announce that U.S. Department of State INL, in partnership with UNODC Nigeria, has formally handed over newly constructed, state-of-the-art interview rooms to the NDLEA.

This initiative enhances NDLEA's investigative capabilities to dismantle Mexican and Western Hemisphere cartels seeking to establish clandestine laboratories and expand crystal methamphetamine production and trafficking in Nigeria and across Africa.

By disrupting the networks that threaten our citizens, we are building a safer world together. This facility represents the enduring commitment of the United States to support Nigeria in the fight against drug trafficking, making both our countries safer.
