The Atiku Abubakar’s Rescue Team ably led by the Chairman emeritus of DAAR Communications PLC, High Chief Raymond Dokepsi was in Imo state earlier today to consult party members and supporters ahead of the 2023 general elections.
While in Imo, the leader of the team, High Chief Dokpesi thanked the Imo state chapter of the party for the opportunity given to them.
He also thanked the party for the support they gave to the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar in the primaries of the PDP in the 2018 National Convention in port harcourt, Rivers state and the general elections in 2019.
He said even though the PDP won the general elections, the mandate of the party was stolen as it was done in the recent Imo state Guber election.
High Chief recounted the scenarios that led to the eight years rotational presidency in 2003 when the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was concluding his first term as president of the country.
The media mogul told his audience that it was Adamu Ciroma of blessed memory, that challenged Obasanjo and other leaders of the party, that If Chief Obasanjo from the south is allowed to do eight years, the north will also do the same when the opportunity arises.
High Chief Dokpesi said that when it was the turn of the north to do eight years as agreed, the then president of Nigeria, may his soul Rest In Peace, the late Alhaji Musa Ya’Adua died when he was just less than two years in office.
According to the constitution of Nigeria, his Vice President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, another southerner automatically become the next president and concluded the tenure of the Ya’Adua/Jonathan ticket.
He went further to say that after President Jonathan concluded the tenure of Alhaji Ya’Adua in 2011, he was re elected for another period of four years, making it six years.

Today’s Summary-Atiku Abubakar’s Rescue Team in Kano State-
Earlier today, the Chairman emeritus of DAAR Communications PLC and leader of the Atiku Abubakar’s rescue team, High Chief Engr Raymond Dokpesi and other members of the group, met with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state executive members at the party’s state secretariat in Kano, kano state.
The high powered delegation which was headed by the media mogul also had the following on the entourage, Dr. Obianuju Ogoko, Mrs Lina Walters, Adai Edwin Adai, Hon. Ado Dati, Amb. Aliu Bin Abba and Hassan Shuaibu Dada. Others are, Amb. Ibrahim Mai Sule, Hon. Olumide Ope-Ewe, Hon. Habu Dawaki Bishop.
During the consultation meeting, Engr Dokpesi thanked the PDP Kano State Chairman, Hon. Shehu Wada and other members of his exco for welcoming and accepting to meet with Atiku Abubakar’s Rescue Team.
Engr Dokpesi told the Kano state PDP stakeholders that the purpose of their visit to the state was to draw the attention of the state to the sufferings, the killings and other menace bedeviling Nigerians under the watch and supervision of the All Progressive Congress (APC), led government from 2015 till date.
He added that, one of the purposes of their visit to the state is to “promote, project and Solicit the assistant of the people of Kano state for the candidature of the former Vice President and PDP 2019 Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election”.
He congratulated the “Kwankwasiya” Group for the role they have been playing and for identifying with the importance of education in kano state and across the country. He admired the progress made so far by the Kwankwansiya group, in producing Graduates with Ph.Ds Professors and Associate Professors at the age of 30 and 35.
He further called on unity amongst Nigerians, especially members of the PDP across the country.
