Sallah: Ekiti SSG, Adubiaro Greets Muslim Ummah
The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, has sent her warmest greetings to Muslims in Ekiti State on the celebration of this year's Eid-el-Kabir.
Prof. Adubiaro, in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, congratulated adherents of the Islamic faith for being alive to witness another festive season on earth.
She stated that Eid-el-Kabir is a period that reminds mankind of how Prophet Ibrahim's faith was tested by Almighty Allah and how he was greatly rewarded for keeping to his promise.
According to her, the occasion teaches the moral lesson of the great rewards that await those who fulfil promises made to God and fellow human beings, even at difficult and desperate moments.
The SSG called on Muslims to remain steadfast in the face of challenges and always keep to their promises to God and humanity.
“It is my heartfelt pleasure to felicitate Muslims in Ekiti State on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, which is an important occasion in the Muslim calendar.
“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of how Prophet Ibrahim’s faith was put to test and how he was rewarded by Almighty Allah for keeping to his promise.
“I want to urge Muslims to emulate the exemplary life of Prophet Ibrahim by remaining steadfast even in the face of difficulties and by keeping all promises made to God and fellow human beings,” she said.
Prof. Adubiaro further urged Muslims to use the opportunity of the festive period to pray for the victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the forthcoming June 20 governorship election so that the good governance currently being enjoyed in Ekiti State can continue uninterrupted till 2030.
She also advised Muslims to celebrate in moderation and wished them a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
“Let us use this period to pray for the victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the June 20 governorship election.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, I wish all Muslims a happy celebration and many more years to witness it on earth. Eid Mubarak.”
