REPORT ON THE FAMILIARIZATION VISIT OF THE AGEGE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN TO THE TECHNOLOGY INCUBATION CENTRE LAGOS
On 6TH of November, 20205, the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa led a delegation on a familiarization visit to the Technology Incubation Centre (TIC), Agege Lagos .
The purpose of the visit was to acquaint himself and his entourage with the ongoing activities at the Centre, to interact with the entrepreneurs, and to explore areas where the Local Government can support their growth and development.
Upon arrival, the Chairman and his entourage were warmly received by the Acting Centre Manager, Mrs Jumia Balogun, and other officials of the TIC. The visit began with a brief presentation on the mission and activities of the Centre, followed by a guided tour of various incubation units in the center where various Entrepreneurs showcase their product to the chairman and his team.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman Mr abdul-Ganiyu commended the Management of the Technology Incubation Centre for their commitment to nurturing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within Agege. He assured the entrepreneurs of the Local Government’s readiness to partner with the Centre in providing necessary support, such as capacity-building programs, small business grants, and infrastructural improvements.
The familiarization visit was successful and enlightening. It provided the Chairman and his team with firsthand knowledge of the activities at the Technology Incubation Centre and the challenges faced by local entrepreneurs. The Local Government expressed its commitment to working closely with the Centre to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth in Agege.
