Royal Courtesy Visit to the Palace of His Royal Highness Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed Eko, Osu Ajiri of Udege Mbeki

His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu, paid a distinguished courtesy visit to the Palace of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed Eko, Osu Ajiri of Udege Mbeki, in a demonstration of royal solidarity, brotherhood, and respect.

The visit afforded His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu, the opportunity to join the congregational Friday prayers and participate in the special prayers marking the first 100 days of the reign of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed Eko, following his ascension to the revered throne of his forefathers.

The occasion attracted an impressive gathering of traditional rulers, community leaders, dignitaries, and well-wishers from within and beyond the Udege Mbeki Chiefdom, reflecting the widespread goodwill and support enjoyed by the royal institution.

As part of the commemorative activities, educational materials, including exercise books and other learning resources, were distributed to support the academic development of young learners within the community. This thoughtful gesture underscored the palace’s commitment to promoting education and investing in the future of the younger generation.

Speaking during the visit, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu, congratulated His Royal Highness, Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed Eko, on the successful completion of his first 100 days on the throne, describing the milestone as a testament to God’s grace, purposeful leadership, and the confidence reposed in him by his people.

He offered heartfelt prayers for Almighty Allah to grant His Royal Highness enduring wisdom, divine guidance, good health, and a long, peaceful, and prosperous reign, while praying for sustained peace, unity, and progress throughout the Udege Mbeki Chiefdom.

The visit further strengthened the bonds of friendship and cooperation among the traditional institutions and reaffirmed their shared commitment to preserving cultural heritage, fostering unity, and advancing the collective development of their communities.

COMMISSIONING OF THE AGWADA–UDEGE MBEKI ROAD

Today, 20th July 2026, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu had the honour of receiving His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, in Agwada for the official commissioning of the newly constructed Agwada–Udege Mbeki Road.

This landmark project is a significant milestone in the development of the area, strengthening the historic bond between the brotherly communities of Agwada and Udege Mbeki. Beyond improving connectivity, the road will greatly enhance the transportation of agricultural produce, stimulate economic activities, and improve the livelihoods of residents.

The occasion was further graced by the presence of several distinguished Royal Fathers from across the state, whose attendance reflected their collective support for initiatives that promote peace, unity, and sustainable rural development.

On behalf of the people of Agwada, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. OSU AGWADA Joins Vice President Shettima, Governor Abdullahi Sule, and Other Traditional Rulers at Diamond New Energy Lithium Company Commissioning

The Osu of Agwada joined the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, and other esteemed traditional rulers at the official commissioning of the Diamond New Energy Lithium Company in Endo, Nasarawa State.

The commissioning marks another significant milestone in Nasarawa State’s drive toward industrialization, investment, and sustainable economic development. The presence of the Osu of Agwada at the event reflects the commitment of traditional institutions to supporting initiatives that promote economic growth, job creation, and the responsible development of the state’s abundant mineral resources.

The event brought together government officials, traditional leaders, investors, and stakeholders to celebrate a project expected to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s solid minerals sector and the economic transformation of Nasarawa State.

Today, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu, Osu Agwada, paid a condolence visit to Apawu Kuri in Udege Local Government Area to attend the funeral prayer of the late Sarkin Muslim of Apawu Kuri.

The late Sarkin Muslim was married to the immediate elder sister of His Royal Highness, making the visit both an official and deeply personal one.

Following the funeral prayer, His Royal Highness joined the Muslim faithful for the Juma’at prayer in Apawu Kuri, where special prayers were offered for Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was warmly received by the Osu of Apawu Kuri, members of the traditional council, and the people of the community.

Today, HRH Osu Agwada and HRH Osu Ajiri warmly welcomed His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, the Shehu of Borno, to Nasarawa State.

The Paramount Ruler of Borno is in Lafia to join in the celebration of the 70th birthday of His Royal Highness Justice Sidi Bage, the Emir of Lafia.

The reception accorded to the Shehu of Borno by the Osu Agwada and Osu Ajiri reflects the longstanding royal ties and shared heritage of the Borno Empire,underscoring the enduring bonds of tradition, respect, and unity among these esteemed institutions.

Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Obagu Osu Agwada Joined HRH. Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed Eko Osu Ajiri paid a Royal visit to Kana Community in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, where they joined the faithful in observing the sacred Juma’a Prayer.

Following the congregational prayer, the esteemed Royal Fathers proceeded to the Palace of the Village Head of Kana, where they held a significant meeting focused on promoting peace, unity, security, and the overall well-being of the people of Kana and its surrounding communities.

The visit and deliberations were of immense importance to the community, reflecting the commitment of traditional and political leaders towards fostering harmony, sustainable development, and the prosperity of the people. The gathering was warmly received by members of the community, who expressed appreciation for the concern and leadership demonstrated by their revered Royal Fathers.

Also in attendance was Hon. David Onah Kana, member representing Udege Loko constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly along with other stakeholders and political leaders of the community.

In the early hours of Sunday, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, Osu Agwada, and His Royal Highness Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed Eko, Osu Ajiri, paid a royal condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Dauda Ewa Kana and joined them in the three-day prayer session held in his honor.

Before his passing, Alhaji Dauda Ewa Kana held the revered traditional title of Sardaunan Agwada. He was widely known as a peace-loving man, a respected community leader, and a distinguished title holder within the chiefdom.

During the visit, the two royal fathers offered prayers for Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus. They also prayed for strength, comfort, and patience for his wives, children, and the entire family during this difficult time.
