SOUTHWEST: NATIONAL COMMUNITY FOOD BANK PROGRAMME

H.E. Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, today launched the South-West National Community Food Bank Programme and commissioned the Food Bank Warehouse at Makun Primary Health Centre (PHC), Sagamu, Ogun State.

The initiative aims to strengthen community-level food and nutrition support for vulnerable groups, including pregnant women and nursing mothers.

During the event, H.E. Senator Oluremi Tinubu interacted with pregnant women and nursing mothers at Makun PHC.

In attendance were H.E. Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun - MFR, Executive Governor of Ogun State, the leadership of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and State Primary Health Care Development Agencies (SPHCDAs).

Yesterday, our team in Odigbo LGA, led by the PHC Coordinator, Dr. Olarenwaju Gbadamosi, conducted a supervisory and monitoring visit to health facilities in the LGA.

The team visited Olokuta, Ago-Alaye, and Araromi-Obu health facilities to assess service delivery, review ongoing activities, identify gaps, and provide on-site technical support where needed.

The routine visit is part of the Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency’s efforts to monitor activities at the facility level, support the delivery of quality care and primary health care services across the LGA.
