Today, Delta State took another step towards strengthening the welfare and efficiency of its civil service with the commissioning of 12 four-bedroom terraced duplexes for Permanent Secretaries and the presentation of 12 official vehicles to newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori highlighted investments in civil servants’ welfare, including housing, mobility, training and other support initiatives. He noted that the new duplexes and completed internal roads and drainage infrastructure provide befitting accommodation while addressing flooding and erosion within the quarters, while the 12 vehicles will support the mobility of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.

He also highlighted merit-based appointments, the training of 450 senior management staff, implementation of the national minimum wage and the planned 13th-month salary as part of efforts to strengthen the public service.

Yesterday i joined my BOSS Hon. Patrick Ukah , along side the Delta State APC youth leader Agali Christopher and other top government functionaries at the funeral ceremony of late Ogbueshi Victor Chiedu Ebube in Asaba Delta state.

NRC CLARIFIES SEN. EDE DAFINONE, PATRICK UKAH NOT INVOLVED IN WARRI TRAIN ACCIDENT

The Nigerian Railway Corporation wishes to clarify that contrary to an earlier statement, Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, and former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Hon. Patrick Ukah, were not passengers on board the Warri–Itakpe Train Service involved in the accident near Agbor.

Both distinguished individuals rather, greatly assisted in the mobilisation of first responders and other emergency personnel who participated in the rescue operations following the incident.

The NRC regrets the unintended error and sincerely appreciates the selfless and swift intervention and support of these great Nigerians during the rescue efforts.
