In October 2020, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa signed an Executive Order to reduce the Right of Way charges that are related to laying broadband and any other telecommunications equipment in Delta State?
Yes, with the Executive Order signed by Governor Okowa, telecommunications companies have seen reductions from N2,500 per linear metre to N145 per linear metre.
With Governor Okowa’s administrations’ commitment to foster development in the state – this step by the Delta State Government will help to deepen broadband pe*******on — which will attract new businesses and create new job opportunities.
This policy will also improve access to quality and affordable healthcare; increase digital literacy; facilitate access to the digital space, and support the attainment of Social Development Goals set by the UN for 2030.
