This is Ijedinka Primary School, Aniagbala, Ubulu-Uku, Aniocha South LGA, Delta State.
No access road. No decent classrooms. No desks or chairs for pupils. Too few teachers, with some forced to handle two classes at the same time. The school sits abandoned inside a bush, without even a perimeter fence.
Yet Delta State Government has reportedly received over ₦3.15 trillion in allocations in less than three years under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
So where is the money?
Because what we see here is not DEVELOPMENT. What we see is NEGLECT. What we see is a generation of children being failed by a GOVERNMENT that never misses an opportunity to flood social media with carefully staged photographs and glowing headlines.
The tragedy is not that they publish the pictures. The tragedy is that the reality on the ground exposes the pictures.
When citizens point to schools like this, the usual defenders and e-rats will rush into the comment section shouting, "It's a lie! It's a lie!"
Well, the school is there.
The bush is there.
The broken, DILAPIDATED and DECAYED infrastructure is there.
The lack of teachers is there.
The suffering of the children is there.
The real question is: after trillions of naira, why is this still there?
