It was an honour to witness the 20th Anioma Cultural Festival, proudly organised by the Organisation for the Advancement of Anioma Culture (OFAAC), held yesterday at St. Patrick’s College, Asaba. The event was a vibrant showcase of our rich traditions through dance, wrestling, arts, and crafts, reminding us that culture remains a powerful tool for unity and sustainable development.

I commend the Convener of OFAAC, Arch. Kester Ifeadi, for his consistency in hosting this remarkable event over the past two decades, celebrating our culture, preserving our heritage, and empowering our people.

May we all remain committed to preserving the Anioma spirit and passing it on to future generations.

Easter reminds us of the power of sacrifice, the triumph of hope over despair, and the promise of new beginnings. As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, may we be inspired to renew our faith, strengthen our unity, and remain committed to building a better society for all.

May this season bring peace, hope, and renewed strength to every home.

Happy Easter.

Yesterday, I attended the APC National Convention in Abuja, a gathering that reflects the unity and strength of our great party. I congratulate all the National Working Committee members who emerged from the convention and wish them a successful tenure in advancing the progress of our party and our nation.

Yesterday, I joined leaders and stakeholders from across the South-South in Asaba for the APC Zonal Congress, an important step in strengthening our party’s structure and unity ahead of the future.

It was a moment of reflection, renewed commitment, and collective resolve to deepen grassroots engagement and ensure that the ideals of justice, peace, and progress continue to guide our actions.

I congratulate the newly inaugurated Zonal Executive Committee and wish them a successful and impactful tenure as they work to strengthen the party across the region.

Together, we move forward, stronger, united, and focused on delivering meaningful impact for our people.

Today, we inaugurated our State, LGA, and Ward Renewed Hope Ambassadors, marking a critical step in deepening grassroots engagement and strengthening our collective responsibility to communicate the policies and reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This initiative is not about individuals, but about a united effort to take the message of Renewed Hope to every ward, every community, and every household across our state. As leaders and party members, we must rise to the task of engaging our people with facts, countering misinformation, and mobilizing support for the continued progress of our nation.

While reforms may come with temporary challenges, they are already laying the foundation for a stronger, more stable, and prosperous Nigeria. The responsibility before us is clear, to speak, to engage, and to lead from the grassroots.

Together, we will move forward and ensure that Delta State remains a strong voice in shaping the future of our nation.

Yesterday, at the opening of the South-South Zonal Workshop for Renewed Hope Ambassadors, I emphasized the need to clearly communicate the Renewed Hope Agenda by bridging the gap between policy and the people, countering misinformation, and strengthening grassroots engagement. While these reforms may be challenging in the short term, they are laying a solid foundation for long-term stability, growth, and shared prosperity.

Today, we conclude with the inauguration of our State, LGA, and Ward Ambassadors. Join us.

Today, I had the honour of welcoming State and Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors from across the South-South to a two-day Zonal Workshop in Asaba.

This engagement is about strengthening our capacity to effectively communicate the vision, reforms, and outcomes of the Renewed Hope Agenda under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As ambassadors, our role is clear: to bridge the gap between policy and the people by taking the message to every ward, every community, and every household.

Nigeria is at a defining moment. While reforms may be challenging in the short term, they are laying the foundation for long-term stability, growth, and shared prosperity. We must therefore remain committed to engaging our people with facts, clarity, and purpose.

I appreciate our Chief Host, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, our DG, Governor Hope Uzodimma, our facilitators, and all participants for their dedication to this important task.

Together, we will continue to mobilize, engage, and strengthen the Renewed Hope message across our region.

I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of our revered political leader, Chief Benjamin Sunday Elue, who served as Deputy Governor of Delta State from 1999 to 2007.

Chief Elue was a renowned teacher, respected community leader, and astute politician whose lifestyle was worthy of emulation. His dedication to Delta’s growth and stability remains an enduring part of our shared history.

On behalf of my family, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family, the good people of Aniocha North, and Delta State at large. May God grant his soul eternal rest and comfort all those he has left behind.

Today, I was in Isieke-Ibusa with the Nwaoboshi family to pay my final respects to a distinguished Deltan and prominent son of the Anioma nation, the late Senator (Barr.) Peter Onyeluka Nwaoboshi, at his Funeral Mass held at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Ibusa.

As we mourn his painful passing, we take comfort in knowing that he etched his name on the sands of time. His legacy of courage, resilience, and resourcefulness will continue to inspire a new generation of politicians and public servants.

On behalf of my family, I pray that God grants his dear wife, Dr. Judith Nwaoboshi, his children, and the entire family the strength and fortitude to bear this great loss.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.

This morning, I joined His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori; His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri; the people of the Warri Kingdom; and other well-meaning Deltans to warmly receive the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at a homecoming ceremony organised in her honour as a proud daughter of the Warri Kingdom.

On behalf of my family, I warmly welcome Senator Oluremi Tinubu home and commend her for her decades of dedicated service to our nation and the impactful initiatives that have strengthened families and uplifted communities. May her visit further strengthen unity, inspire hope, and deepen the bonds that connect us as one people.
