AKADORO BRIDGE TODAY!!!
..A Cry For Helpš¢š„šš
This is the much talked about akadoro bridge located in Ezza North LGA of Ebonyi State, Nigeria. This has been the state of this river since yesterday. The locally constructed bamboo bridges connecting different communities have all been submerged by the water, crippling all activities and rendering the people stranded, frustrated and confused. No more going to markets nor farms because the people from both divides can no longer connect as evident in this video.(All voiced errors in the video are mine and are somberly regretted).
Once more, we want to draw to this video,the attention of the state governor, Engr Dave Umahi, the grand Master of infrastructure. He should watch this video and try putting himself in the shoes of the Ezza North people. These Bridges connect Ogboji, Ekka, Nkomoro, Inyere and Umuezeoka communities with about 70,000 regular voters. But it is painful to note that in every rainy season like this, this river claims many lives of these village voters(Farmers, market women and students). Just last year, a young surveyor Chinweike while crossing the bridge, slipped off, got drowned and diedšŖ. Same has been the case with many other victims who have died in similar horrendous manner. This year again, the worst seems to be awaiting the people.(See the attached video and images)š¤¤šŖ
Apparently, the people in this part of Ezza North are chiefly farmers and if there is anything they desperately need from this government, it is the AKADORO Bridges and the adjoining roads. They don't need water fountains, neither do they need flyovers nor fancy lights. All they need is this bridge; the whole truth which the sycophantic and self-centered appointees of this government have refused to disturb the governor with. Since the inception of democracy, these people have been voting for governments in power to see if their plights could be asssuaged but unfortunately, immediately after elections, they will completely be forgotten. No government has ever shown sympath for them, including the current government of Engr Umahi after all his second and first tenure campaign promises.
It is very painful to note that this stone age lifestyle still reigns supreme in an almighty local government like Ezza North which monthly federal allocation is in the neighborhood of . If you multiply this figure by five years or more, you will realize how much money that have been expended or squandered in the name of Ezza North, yet the same LGA is the most backwards in terms of everything in the state. For how long shall the people continue to suffer and languish in the midst of plenty? Enough is Enoughš°.
Finally, I want to say this; Ezza North People have suffered enough. Their pains and sufferings are so enormous, so overwhelming and have obviously been stretched beyond elastic limits. With this, I foresee a volcanic revolution in Ezza North. It is very certainly imminent and I, Comrade Sampson Oko Nweke will lead it. It is a promise and not a threat.
