As party primaries election draw closer, *Barr. Princess Aisha Ismail-Olokun* calls on party delegates to think for the future and save our great constituency from maladministration, selfish representation, chaotic policies and bills which will further put the destiny of our great Constituency in jeopardy.

People of Etsako Federal Constituency, a vote cast for *Barr. Princess Aisha Ismail-Olokun* is a vote for the future, a vote of hope, a vote for youth capacity development, a vote of ambition and a vote for progressive transformation.

Do You Know?

1. No female politician of Etsako Extraction has been elected to represent Etsako/Afenmai in the last 40years of our Nation’s political trajectory?

2. The first and only female to post such a representation was Senator( Chief) Franca Afegbua, The Męmisęsęwę of Okpella Kingdom. October 1, 1983 to December 31,1983,
NPN member representing Bendel North Senatorial District?

3. According to INEC statistics and before then NECOM, women form the single largest voting bloc in Etsako Federal Constituencies and Afenmai Senatorial District?

4. Since the inception of the 4th Republic and indeed during the ill-fated 3rd Republic, no female has neither stood for nor won any elective position either in Etsako or Afenmai?

5. There is a National Gender Policy with its provisions made applicable nationwide and it prescribes that 35% of all elective and appointive (Government) positions be reserved for women?

6. That the Federal High Court In a recent decision held that the National Gender Policy should and ought to be implemented at all levels in Nigeria.

Now Therefore, Be it Resolved That:

A. It is time for an Etsako daughter to be elected to represent us in Abuja!!!

B. This is a Legal requirement.

C. It is time for Equity.

D. It is time to uphold 35% affirmative action to which Nigeria is a worthy signatory to several international treaties and conventions in that behalf.

E. It is time for Etsako to blaze the trail again as it did in 1983 for others to follow.

I felicitate with all Muslims across the world, on the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is a time to apply effectively the key values of self-tolerance, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and impacting the lives of the vulnerable and the less privileged in our society through acts of charity.

I urge us to use this Holy Month to reflect on the challenges of our country and pray fervently for Allah’s divine intervention. We must remain united in order to confront and defeat the common enemy that has sought to destroy our communities.

I wish the good people of Etsako Federal Constituency a glorious Ramadan. May the spirit of this holy month stay in our heart and illuminate our soul from within, and may Almighty Allah grant answers to our heartfelt supplications.
