TIC BAUCHI STRENGTHENS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS THROUGH FOLLOW-UP ENGAGEMENT WITH BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT ON THE PROVISION OF AN APPROVED 500KVA TRANSFORMER AND UTILITY VEHICLE, AND APPRECIATION VISIT TO THE STANDARDS ORGANISATION OF NIGERIA (SON)
As part of its sustained efforts to strengthen the technology incubation Program in Bauchi State, the Technology Incubation Centre, Bauchi paid a follow-up visit to the Bauchi State Ministry of Power, Science and Technology on 15th June 2026. The visit was aimed at reinforcing earlier engagements regarding the provision of an approved 500KVA transformer and a utility vehicle by the Bauchi State Government.
The delegation was led by the Centre Manager, Abdullahi Abdulkadir Yelwa, alongside members of the Centre’s management team. During the meeting, the Centre Manager emphasized the critical importance of the approved transformer and utility vehicle in enhancing the Centre’s operational efficiency and supporting the growth of technology incubation activities in the state.
Responding on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner, the Permanent Secretary commended TIC Bauchi for its unwavering commitment to innovation development, entrepreneurship promotion, and talent nurturing in Bauchi State. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Bauchi State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (Kauran Bauchi), to supporting the Centre through the provision of the approved transformer and utility vehicle.
The Permanent Secretary further assured the delegation that his Ministry would engage the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to expedite the release of the approved facilities. According to him, the intervention will further strengthen the Centre’s capacity to support entrepreneurs and enable Bauchi State to fully leverage the numerous opportunities provided by the Technology Incubation Programme.
In a related development, TIC Bauchi paid an appreciation visit to the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) to express gratitude for the Organisation’s support and technical guidance, which contributed to the successful award of the African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO) Quality Mark to one of the Centre’s incubatees, Sama Agro Enterprise.
During the visit, the Centre Manager commended SON for its continued efforts in promoting quality assurance, standardisation, and competitiveness among Nigerian products and services. He noted that the ARSO Quality Mark has significantly enhanced the entrepreneur’s market credibility and visibility, while also demonstrating the innovative potential and quality standards attainable by enterprises supported under the Technology Incubation Programme.
In response, the management of SON appreciated the visit and reiterated the Organisation’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in achieving compliance with national, regional, and international quality standards. SON further encouraged sustained collaboration with TIC Bauchi to ensure that more entrepreneurs benefit from certification programmes, quality improvement initiatives, and market access opportunities.
The engagements underscore TIC Bauchi’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in government and industry to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and enterprise development within Bauchi State and beyond.
