GOVERNOR BALA MOHAMMED ATTENDS EID EL FITR PRAYER AT BAUCHI CENTRAL MOSQUE
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Kauran Bauchi today alongside his family members and top government officials notably the Deputy Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Dallami Kawule, Secretary to the State Government, Mohammed Sabiu Baba, Chief of Staff, Government House Bauchi, Dr. Ladan Salihu, State PDP Chairman, Hamza Koshe Akuyam and top government officials attended the Eid-El fitr prayer at the Bauchi Central Mosque.
The Eid El fitr prayer led by the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Imam Ahmed Baban Innah, also had in attendance, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu, former Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Honorable Kawuwa Shehu Damina, member Representing Bauchi at the House of Representatives, Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi, traditional leaders as well as other Muslim faithfuls.
Speaking with journalists at Ramat House Bauchi shortly after the prayer, Governor Bala Mohammed said despite the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, his administration will not relent in providing the necessary services for the welfare of the citizens of the state.
According to him, the pandemic cannot stop his administration from ex*****on developmental projects.
" What are we doing for the welfare of people, as government even the Local Government and Emirates we must at this time free resources taking for corruption to sustain our fight against COVID-19 and to provide the basis services."
In this year's sallah message , the governor said the state government has already given an opportunity to muslims in the state to thank their creator through the suspension of both total and partial lockdown.
He said the suspension of the lockdown followed successes recorded in the fight against COVID-19 as current the state has only 60 active cases after massive discharged.
Governor Bala Mohammed noted that Bauchi State Government will redirect it's effort to make sure citizens of the state comply with all the protocols established by the NDCC on COVID-19 pandemic so as to consolidate on the achievements recorded.
" We are lucky in Bauchi, people have already key into our idea, the issue of denial or rejection is no longer there, people have given us the mandate and we must work to protect them."
