And Justice Has Prevailed in Zamfara, As It Should Everywhere in Nigeria.

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 presidential election and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, commends and celebrates the judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, which has upheld the rule of law, as well as common sense, and done justice by declaring the PDP as the winner of the gubernatorial elections in Zamfara state as well as state house of assembly elections.

Nothing is as pleasing to the ears of believers, as justice being served in the holy month of Ramadan.

Atiku Abubakar commends the Lord Justices for putting aside the interests of the powerful and upholding the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians. God first, Nigeria second, must be our priority as trustees of the people.

When justice prevails, the people rejoice, chains are broken, freedom is multiplied and society is enriched.

Atiku Abubakar is hopeful that the Supreme Court and our Lords Justices will let Lady Justice have full reign in other petitions that will come before them, and that good conscience, fear of God and the rule of law will prevail.

In so doing, they will write their names for good on the sands of time and avoid the infamy that oppressors wish to thrust on them as their legacy.

Once again, Atiku Abubakar commends the Supreme Court for siding with justice. He congratulates the Governor-elect Hon. Bello Matawalle and the people of Zamfara, who will finally have a government that will address the issues that have made life an ordeal in that great state. The storm is over and peace and calm are coming to Zamfara.

May God bless the Supreme Court of Nigeria. May God bless Zamfara state and may God bless Nigeria, now and forever.

I greet the Muslim Ummah as we begin the month of Ramadan and I urge that we use this holy and August month to pray for our dearly beloved nation and its people.

Prophet Mohammed (SAW) said ,"When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of heaven are opened". Let us take advantage of these open heavens to make Ramadan intercession for the benefit of our country, our countrymen and women and for humanity as a race.

I call on one and all to remember that Nigerians are who would make Nigeria either great or dismal through our thoughts, words and actions. Therefore, Ramadan is an opportunity for us to rededicate ourselves to the virtues displayed by the Prophet.

Virtues such as brotherly love and community spirit, without which a country shall be just a hollow shell.

When we make ideals our goal this Ramadan, we will, by Allah's grace, be able to reach a turning point in our individual, family and national lives that will bring about the rebirth of Nigeria as a nation that functions to provide peace, progress and prosperity to each and every citizen.

Therefore, as we use this fasting period of Ramadan to master ourselves through discipline, abstinence, prayer and self-sacrifice, may Allah (SWT) hear our prayers and see us through so that we will finish what we started today in good health and a sound body.

Some of our challenges may look like they will overwhelm us, but during the month of Ramadan, our connection and reconnection with Allah (SWT) makes our resolve stronger and our challenges weaker. We are thus able to gain a new lease of life and a powerfully divine paradigm of possibilities over impossibilities. This is the beauty of Ramadan.

May Allah bless you my brothers and sisters, may Allah bless Nigeria and may Allah hear your prayers. Amin

The victories of the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in both Sokoto and Benue states is an acknowledgement from the Nigerian people that we are the only truly national party in Nigeria.

I congratulate His Excellency, Governor Aminu Tambuwal on his re-election and I assure the good people of Sokoto state that they have made the right decision that will see them continue on the path to peace, progress and prosperity.

I also congratulate Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state over his very well deserved re-election. Mr. Ortom is not just a credit to the PDP, he is also an epitome of servant leadership which I urge all and sundry to emulate. With him again at the helm of affairs in Benue, the people of the breadbasket of the nation can look forward to times of refreshing and deliverance.

Finally, I share solidarity with Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who has made a great showing in Bauchi. Victory is within reach. He has shown that he is a man of the people. I am convinced that much good will come out of this man of enviable talents and leadership ability.

I congratulate the Peoples Democratic Party and all our members on these gains. Our party is the true bastion of democracy and we should be encouraged by these victories. With unity within our midst, we will together continue to extend the boundaries of democracy and shrink the space occupied by tyranny.

Better days are ahead for us. Of this I am certain. May God bless Nigeria and may God bless the People Democratic Party.
