CELEBRATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD & GRAND OPENING OF THE DEBATE & GAMES CHAMPIONSHIP, KEBBI STATE 1.0
Bieng 11th October, 2025. we witnessed a historic and inspiring event as the Kebbi State Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education, in collaboration with DHS International Programme and the Office of Her Excellency, the First Lady of Kebbi State, joyfully celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child and the Grand Opening of the Debate & Games Championship, Kebbi State 1.0.
We sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, for his unwavering commitment, passion, and visionary leadership in promoting education, youth empowerment, and inclusive development across the State.
Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to Her Excellency, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris (Kauraran Gwandu), the First Lady of Kebbi State, for her motherly love, encouragement, and continuous advocacy for girl-child education and development. Her presence and inspiring words uplifted the entire gathering and reaffirmed her dedication to empowering young girls in Kebbi State.
The Ministry equally appreciates all Teachers, Students, Stakeholders, and Invited Guests who graced this memorable occasion. Your active participation made the celebration colorful, meaningful, and impactful.
The DHS International Debate & Games Championship is a laudable initiative aimed at building critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and teamwork among students. It serves as a platform to discover and nurture young talents in line with the Ministryโs vision of raising well-rounded future leaders for Kebbi State and Nigeria at large.
As we celebrate these achievements, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing quality education, inclusivity, and empowerment especially for the girl child.
Together, we shall continue to build a brighter and more prosperous future for our children and our beloved Kebbi State.
