The world in which we live is fast deviating from the path of humanity into a theatre of inhumanity and intolerance. In spite of improvement in fighting illiteracy and poverty, despite the upswing in living standard in the Western hemisphere, and the Far East, hundreds of millions of people are disadvantaged by war, inequality, discrimination, xenophobia, and drought.

It's pity to see hundreds of ethnic minority group_Rohingyas fleeing persecution in Burma and ending up being rejected even by their brothers-in-faith.

Wars in South Sudan, Libya, Ukraine, Syria, Nigeria, Somalia, Mali, have done more damages to people that did Hiroshima, and Nagasaki atomic attacks put together.

We can't eradicate poverty if we fail to live and dream, we can't eradicate poverty if we are too intolerant to live with other nationalities, we cannot win war against malnutrition, drought and illiteracy if our conscience prevents us from serving others.

Once you are able to realise how blessed and fortunate you are, try, for the sake of humanity, to help other people realise their potentials by coming to the aid of whoever is in need of economic, educational and humanitarian helps.

"It is Live lived for others that is worthwhile" _ Albert Einstein

For initiatives of this scale and importance, there is no substitute for engaged leadership. Frequent consultations at the highest level will help drive focus and results and we will maintain and even strengthen this coordination mechanism. Political will, needs to be translated into tangible results. The prosperity of Nigeria demands it and together we can achieve it.

Listen more to the one who criticizes you and less to the one who praises you. Learn from them and do something about it.

Basing our economies on burning stuff - including oil, gas and coal - remains an extremely expensive policy whether the fuel itself is bought cheap or not. Mass layoffs in the energy industry and devastating currency devaluations in oil exporting countries such as Nigeria underscore the vulnerability of economies and jobs dependent on volatile fossil fuel revenues.

Clean energy is very important. Nigeria deserve to have sufficient electricity to power industry, school, homes and the whole economy.

In our world, there are groups who believe that they care more about Nigerians, than we care about ourselves. Solutions are imposed, that may have worked elsewhere, for other people, with different histories. As for us, we are told, in so many words, to keep quiet. South Africa has never kept quiet. You have charted your own course, based on a deep analysis of your history and circumstances, and stayed the course.
When the full history of State liberation is written, it will be found that in your struggle, Nigeria as a whole, found one of its most important voices.

Let’s not be diplomatic, let’s not gloss over issues. Markets are markets. We know what they offer outweigh what we have in aid by thousands of times. All kinds of wealth lying all over the place in Africa and being recycled to us in forms of aid and in the end we are told, you must be humble and quiet and not say anything. Let’s not be diplomatic, let’s not gloss over issues. Markets are markets. We know what they offer outweigh what we have in aid by thousand of times. Aid is more political than anything else. Markets are less political, they are neutral.

Countries like Nigeria will always have challenges, but we have to think of how to overcome them. It’s not just about resources; it’s about how we apply them to our situation. To address our challenges, we have to make the right investments. We need to invest in country systems.
