By Carolyn Ugbor

The Honourable Commissioner For Commerce, Mrs. RoseMary Archibong Esq who is also the State Coordinator of the one hundred Women Lobby Group, in congratulating women on the International Women's Day Celebration, has emphasized that there is need to forge a gender-equity world in every aspect of human endeavour.

The Commissioner encouraged women to be resilient, to be alert and also be good mentors by correcting in love and celebrating others rather than run down. "When we embrace equity, we embrace fairness and inclusiveness, making life easy," she added.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the Women in Cross River State Youth Parliament, Miss Utibe-Abasi Bassey Duke, stated that this year's theme of 'Embrace Equity' means going beyond giving women equal opportunities; it is a call to recognize that each woman has different circumstances and a call for action to accelerate gender parity.
